I sometimes am curious as to how the various nations see each other, as stereotypes.

Could be fun if we posted those, but obviously as gentle ribbing and not going "And your country was a right (Redacted) to mine a hundred years ago.

Iā€™ll start with Italy as Roljin is from there. To hopefully give the idea of the spirit as to what i mean by stereotypes.

The Common English stereotypes about Italy is that you are all atrocious drivers, but you are excellent lovers, so a good trade off, your military sometimes crazy, but your military commanders are very pragmatic in going ā€œNope, shiz has gone mental, weā€™re jumping sides because that is -sensible-!ā€
You have excellent footballers and Rugby players, and for so long gave us hauntingly beautiful Opera till naughty Mozart came along and started doing them in German. You did also give the world Pizza, which given how prevalent it has become, was clearly a -good idea-!. Also the Borgias and Machiavelli pretty much wrote the book in terms of giving us ideas about political shenanigans, and the word ā€˜cunningā€™, and the concept of Italian City states remain a constant inspiration for fantasy settings to this day (I actually play in a massive fantasy LARP system with more than 2000 players, where one of the ten nations are based on the Italian City states. It isnā€™t Italy, its fantasy Italy, but it is such a rich mine of cool ideas)
Plus, Yā€™know, The Romans did some bad stuff, but they were also pretty cool in other ways, as the Monty Python scene goes.

ā€œWhat did the Romans ever do for us?ā€

ā€œWellā€¦ā€

So yeah, Italy is pretty cool to be honest.

No proper dissing, just gentle ribbing

Man, I love this kind of stuff. Itā€™s so exciting to learn what people as communities think of others. I think, this very excitment made me learn english and other languages just to be able to communicate and learn about their look.

It can be fun. And you were funny and gentle. Italian commons sense about english ppl?
You drive on the wrong side, you eat just fish and chips, you are dirty barbarian without a proper bidetā€¦but you are also great sailors, you were an empire and still retain some aspects of it, you are rich and well paid in every job you do

Very much the intention! To gently poke fun at each other without any nastiness. This said, We drive on the -right- side of the road, which is to mean, the left side of the road, We do love our Fish and chips. You honestly will get people in England going on holiday to somewhere else in England on the coast and going ā€œoooh, lets have some fish and chips for dinnerā€ despite the fact that every English town, even in areas where I live, in the complete middle of the country, have about two or three fish and chips shops  " Fair point on the Bidetā€™s, they are not a standard thing in England, never have been, Our Navy, whilst smaller than it was, is actually pretty good, Empire is a kind of "ooh-erā€¦we try not to talk about that these days  "and as for being rich and well paid in every job we do, I could only wish that this were true! But you are pretty spot on with everything else, heh heh.

Iā€™m going to a) see if my memory of Cyrillic is correct, in referring to our Draenei friend as ā€˜Yasminaā€™? and b) assume from the Cyrillic that it is Russian? Apologies if that is not soā€¦

To us, all Russians if female are either ballerinaā€™s or Assassins or both, and all the Males are seven feet tall and wear Ushankaā€™s. Then there are Gopnikā€™s, which are like our ā€˜Chavā€™sā€™ and Slavic Squats. You write some of the most heart achingly beautiful classic music of such passion and depth, and your authors can only write novels that are almost a thousand pages long, but are always worth reading (The Brothers Karamazov is one of my favourite novels), It always snows there (I know about places like Sochi, but I mean general English stereotype views) and everyone is always wrapped up warm. Vodka, Bliniā€™s and Borscht are the three food groups, and you love your big buildings to have onion shaped domes.

And as a personal one, the Mig 29 ā€˜Fulcrumā€™ is the most beautiful fighter aircraft ever designed since the ā€˜Spitfireā€™.

Well Italy is very beautiful and it has one of my favorite foods.

I went to Milan and Venice when I was in Italy.

When I was in Milan I went to McDonaldā€™s which was really full. I did find a empty table, however a girl came up to my table and just randomly sit down. I donā€™t know if itā€™s normal in Italy so I didnā€™t say anything. She had this really short black dress and really long brown straight hair.

Then my mom suggested we go inside the church which was HUGE. The priest started talking so we sat down (we didnā€™t know if it was disrespectful to leave) so we just sat down and listened to him speaking some stuff in Italian for almost an hour. Didnā€™t understand a word. Milan was super fun overall and apparently people told me I look like a South Italian.

As for Veniceā€¦ well Iā€™m not a fan of boats soā€¦ I barfed so many times. Itā€™s not a place I like to remember. But the Pizza there is delicious
