Without intending to shoot at you that’s because mage is still a hard class to master. You don’t retoll to mage and climb easily. And that’s not because dealing damage is hard, in fact dealing damage as mage is giga easy. The hard part is surviving. A really good mage is immortal, a bad mage will die like a potato because he isn’t using the tools he has properly. It took me a fair amount of 2s games until i stopped dying to warriors in 2s on my mage. There are so many buttons you can press tjat i simply forget like half of them, die amd afterwards realize “oh i still had this, that, i didn’t use displacement at all, didn’t alter into blink, displacement, alter back and blink again” etc. It’s a l2p issue and learning mage is way harder and more time consuming than learning fury.

go teach a 1300 mage how to press alter time high hp, blink around, make focus macro for sheeping / kicking healer… or go teach 1300 warrior to press W and same rotation he used to clear dungeons

Like dude, if you loose a 1v1 vs a warrior as a mage then ure completely f lost. Its the biggest hardcounter in the game by far. If warriors would hardcounter priests just half as much, the forum would explode.
