Paladins are ridiculous in Phase 3. They’re casters more than melee. As a Warrior main, I’d rather fight a Mage than a Paladin at least a Mage needs to cast to hit half my HP. Paladins are the only class in the game that can still global me 100-0 in Phase 3 and all I see are Paladins complaining about been underpowered

There was no reason for Blizzard to make Paladins ranged, yet they have. They even made them spell-powered attacks, so armor doesn’t even do anything. The only benefit to having high armor in SoD is if you fight another Warrior. A Warrior would be as good in cloth gear as if they was wearing full plate as the armor is pointless in SoD

Every class is ridiculous compared to warriors. Try hitting a shaman with their new lightning shield rune instead

Go make friends with a priest, warriors have always needed a dedicated healer to shine in PvP. I agree with mages being ridiculous though, the 3 blinks + chronostatic preservation garbage is an actual joke.

They dont even need them because they can almost beat us in melee :)). Blizzard really hates warrior.

And that’s exactly the problem with paladins right now. 90% of their damage comes from RNG exorcism reset procs from getting melee crits. You either destroy someone in seconds, or you don’t do anything useful at all. This kind of proc based RNG garbage gameplay should have been left in retail, but here we are.

And how does that solve the problem of warriors being terrible at everything?

You can do that on a rogue and do better, you can do that on an enh or ret and do better, you can do that on a melee hunter and do better. You can do that with a hunter’s pet and do better.

That reasoning does not work in SoD.

Melee hunters are not better than warriors in PvP, their damage is entirely RNG based. Every hunter in PvP goes MM because the range advantage is a million times more valuable. And like I said, you need a dedicated healer, 90% of complaints come from warriors trying to 1v1 when they’ve always been much better in large scale fights with a few healers keeping them up.

Being good only with a grp is equal to being useless.

Not quite, it makes you valuable for BGs, which is the best way to gain honor. I always see warriors doing just fine in WSG if they have enough healers on them. I play a soul link lock myself, which is great for 1v1, but pretty useless for large scale fights with how little damage lock dots are doing atm.

Nobody plays healer anymore at horde, id rather be more self reliant. When everybody got insane buffs, we can
 just charge in combat now.

And again, how does having a dedicated healer solve anything?

That reasoning has place in Classic because warriors have a toolkit that is comparable to that of other classes that deals excellent damage and provides Mortal Strike but exploiting it to it’s full extent is difficult alone. This isn’t the case in SoD.

If you’re playing a Warrior in pvp you’re playing a class from Classic with minor polish like Warbringer and Taste For Blood and going against classes that have a toolkit comparable to what they had in Wotlk and Cataclysm.

To do what another class does in 1/2 GCD warriors have to spend five or six times the GCDs and wait upwards of 30 seconds to generate the rage needed to use those GCDs in the first place, not to mention the cooldowns all over the place. The class does not function in SoD at the core level because of stance requirements, rage generation and the overabundance of frontloaded damage on every class and a dozen other things.

Rage gen standardization, removal of many of the stance requirements, merging of BS/CS, updating skills like Rend or Thunder Clap to be worth the rage cost without the use of a rune, updating stance effects to be more in line for the numerical values of SoD, lowering the cooldown of Recklessness/Shield Wall/Retaliation would be the most basics requirements to even begin making the class viable for pvp in SoD.

Damn, someone who really gets it here!! <3 We play classic with charge in combat, others play Dragonflight power level. WTF

That’s unlucky then. I often run into enemy groups that have at least 2-3 heal priests and a couple of shadow priests in them myself, but those are usually pre-mades. It’s a shame that class stacking is yet again the most effective way to win BGs.

Not every class can burst someone in 1/2 GCD, but those other classes have either more utility, better range, more self-sustain/tankiness, or a combination of any of those. Warrior doesn’t have any of that on top of not having burst which is why it feels so bad, hence why having healers at least fixes the issue of you not being able to do anything at all by giving you sustain and more utility, just from a source that isn’t you. I know that’s not ideal at all and that it’s a lame fix, but it’s clear the dev team does not care about certain classes being fun to play. They’ve had 3 phases by now to fix the issues that some classes have in PvP and they simply haven’t despite the player feedback.

Warrior with dedicated healers is still not good in sod, any other class + healer is probably better.
