We need player housing

I’d rather have it late than never though.

“B-but it would cost a raid tier!”

Heres the thing, even if it did cost a raid or two, a raid only lasts X amount of months, dependant on how well its made and its replayability. Housing, of done right, could last forever.

Most raids use a completely fresh and newly made environemnt. Housing would use existing environments, maybe tweaked a bit to fit a plot of land properly. And all the 3D models and assets used for the houses could be reused for town and city locations. Maybe they update the Goldshire buildings with same assests that they use for the player housing.

Raids: plenty work that gets consumed in a relatively short time frame, and is seldom reused.

Housing: lesser scale modeling work, and the work that gets done can be reused in more areas of the game.

Would you rather work on a larger project that has a limited life span, or something smaller every now and then that could be reused, over and over?

I fully support player housing too . But i would also like to see more and new options for personalizing your garrison.

agreed.

less focus on the treadmill

more focus on the sugar coated fillings

What is so important about “tier” that you feel that you “loose” it?
Playerhousing and inviting ppl to it is mmorpg, without playerhousing were all just hobos on the streets.

They haven’t used that excuse in a long time ‘it will cost tier’. I personally don’t think it’s a valid excuse.

You’ll lose a new transmog piece.

Yes, I want play housing…but I want them to do it well, and this suggests that they would.
Wild Star type housing would be amazing and I am often a little confused a smaller MMO managed this and WOW with it’s myriad resources hasn’t taken it, run with it, and blasted all other MMO player housing variants off the map.

However thank you Puny, this does look promising and I hope one day, until then, I have spent more time primping my Garrison and messing with the farm in Pandaria than I have most other content.

There is a type of player that would love this, and Wild Star even threw up a fabulous community of builders whose work was just astounding. I used to spend hours on that game just looking and walking round people’s houses.

Not to mention the role play set’s bites knuckles
They truly were inspiring and beautiful to walk around in. Owners as well seemed to get such a charge when they found a player on their lot, happy to chat and show you all their hidden features.

I could see it being a massive boost for WOW, I really could…
I just live in hope.

you know a lot of people say fond things about wild star…

i personally loved that game too…

but the players just stood by and watched it die lol…

you can also kinda blame wildstar for blizzard stealing the idea and creating wow tokens… they has a simular system in wild star which predated it if i remember right.

EDIT yea … i just looked it up to make sure i was right…

wildstar released in 2014 with tokens…

wow added tokens in 2015

I believe EveOnline where the first to create a tradeable game time token (PLEX). Wildstars system was most certainly after Eve’s.

I would sipport player housing and would give even more support for player guild halls where guilds could meet and show off trophies and suchlike.

ah possibly… i did try to play eve online… but never got very far into it …

not very new player firendly…

so i would not know about those tokens…

i imagien wildstar was more a direct competition though as eve had already been around for a while at that point but there was no tokens in wow then.

EDIT: garrisons should be revamped into guild garrisons…

and then add player housing inside those garrisons.

will promote guild play again … people will have to join a established guild in order to get a player house.

not exactly hard to come up with solutions to multiple problems by adding one thing to the game… blizzard just lack the brainpower to think like that in the previous 2 expansions.

but then not bragging but i have way higher than average problem solving skill xD

you know people probably dont remember

but i also said on these forums… that Mr. Xbox booster man in blizzard was a insider spy getting ready for a hostile microsoft buyout…

i said that a good 6 months before microsoft made the move to buy activision/blizzard

i always said people should give the nonsense i say which seems stupid at the time more credit…

typically i was called a conspiracy theorist and that i was missing my tin foil hat lol

EDIT: why did i know that would happen … because it is what i would of done too in the same position

We need this.

At this point I don’t see it happening anymore…

And if it does happen I will probably be disappointed…

link to when you said this pls, much dount :stuck_out_tongue:
