For most dual wielders offhand dps is far worse than worst secondary stat, so its not the end of the world.

You get fooled. My 418 char is getting also just a scaled 420 weapon 
I still donāt get it why the emissaries donāt give you at least a choice between 2-3 types of rewards. On one character you might need the gear, on another the gold etc. I donāt see something bad in it since interesting rewards are a motive for people to go out in the world.

We did have one a few days ago. I got an offhand. As usual, something totally useless as I only use a staff. The time before it was a mace.

Man I did the stupidest thing ever on my Alliance toon when it came. Did my 4 quests, excitedly rushed to the emissary to get my bad boy weaponā¦ I forgot to take myself out of tank spec

Go get them the cloak, then its automated 430 inc.

Well, i suppose i decided this char (in my head still my main) is totally benched for the rest of BFA.
I did think that all those 23 other times I walked towards Uldum ā¦

A lot of people donāt do the ācompetitiveā elements in WoW, so a 445 weapon would be useful to many people. If you want gold there are better ways to get it than emissaries.

Not everyone has the gold making skill. I have 5 max level chars so the 2k gold = 10k gold and paragons are giving good gold too.
There is only one basic rule, always make more than you spend and over time it accumulates.

you can stuff your weapon emissarys ā¦ staff for a resto shammy. Get stuffed x2

Especially since assault dailies gives a metric ton of resources these days. I hammer every quest available + use resources for the coins each week and iām 10k+. Earn way more than i can spend.
26k on this character alone and i actively avoid any emissaries giving war resources.
I also avoid them when i can, and i got 90k on the char i started at the end of s1. 40k on the char i started somewhere halfway s3. 20k on my s1 char. And i even check in the morning my mission table on my phone 
for the 90k and the 40k char.
This could mean that either we play too much or this must be one of the most unnecessary currency ever added on wow.
At least by the end of Legion you could buy Blood of Sargeras with them, this time they didnt bother adding something.
