Tbh, nothing. Blizzard’s lack of delivering content, the playerbase’s hostility towards those who sound valid criticism are pushing me further away rather pulling me closer.
The transmog option is nice, but 13 years late.

Housing becoming a blatant In-game Store cash-grab. It’s gonna cause some tears, I’m waiting for it.
Orc demon hunters and forest trolls allied race.
Oh nvm…
The trailer was perfectly fine - and that’s the problem. It wasn’t awesome. I’m curious about the Light warriors and I like new zones and story but I’m not interested in Haranir or Prey and I don’t play Demon Hunter. I was excited for Housing originally, until they announced neighbourhoods. It might still be ok. I really want the paladin restrictions to be lifted - if that’s in the dev panels, great! If not, then I’m not really excited about anything in Midnight.
I’m feeling very underwhelmed at the moment.
What am I looking for in Midnight?
A bit underwhelmed by the gameplay trailer, but we’ll see over the next days what more to come.
Excited to explore quel thalas and zul aman. Those zones look great!
The Prey feature seems interesting.
Not much excited for anything else than that. Maybe i had too high hopes, but a bit dissapointed.
Honestly ?
Nothing .
The only thing I am interested is seeing the new Demon hunter spec . It is a ranged spec , using shadow magic and turning into a demon . Maybe it will be something like old demonology from MOP .
We also seem to be getting 3 raids instead of 1 , so maybe they are going for variety like back in the day ?
Everything else is meh .
I don’t see any changes .
Still same 4 zones design , with probably the same 50 or so campaign quests .
Nothing about class , race or faction identity , like class / race / faction quests ets .
Leveling will likely also continue to be a joke .
Accent on max level hamster wheel and seasonal resets .
The gamescon is not over yet , but I don’t expect any class changes either , so we are still in the same yolo flashy , button mashing fest we are atm .
Here’s houses to do what exactly ?!
But most importantly I don’t see any inspiration to change anything .
It feels like regurgitated Fast and Furious 1000’th sequel …
They could have gotten me hocked with revamped zones .
With like 7-10 new expansion zones .
With Leveling challenge mode or story mode servers .
With Class rebuild or class quests at least .
With Profession revamp or new profession .
With removal of the seasonal model .
But there is nothing .
It doesn’t look like an expansion , but a patch . Everything just continues in the same direction .
Unless there are some BIG news on the last day of gamescon I am just disappointed .
The new dungeons and raids, those are usually fun in every expansion.
I’m also looking forward to the Transmog changes and I hope more character customization. Hopefully more race/class combos. I wanna play as human shaman.
Nothing at all interested me, personally. Housing is something I have never bothered with in any game I own that features it. The new race is just another pointless “meh” variant, like the majority of the last lot we got - the new Troll race was mildly interesting, and I unlocked 3 other races that were UNinteresting and I skipped the rest. I’m not interested in Demon Hunters anyway, so the new spec is something I’ll never use.
Prey system - it might add something a bit more meaningful back into overworld content.
New Delves - looking forward to seeing how designs are iterated on from TWW.
Maybe new dungeons if my dungeon buddies are back playing, if not I’ll ignore them.
I think the next expansion looks good, i.e. an improvement to this expansion, but I’m not sure yet, if I’ll buy it, because there is nothing that really excites me in terms of gameplay.
So something I think is gonna be nice is that they added 3 different raids, and not only 1 raid.
new races that can be Paladin, Kul Tiran, Night Elf, Forsaken etc. Hopefully
Oh, definitely void spec for demon hunters and for updated Silvermoon! I’m somewhat neutral towards sin’dorei but I love it when old locations get a little bit of glow-up! Hope we get that for Plaguelands too :'>
OH AND PLAYER HOUSING. I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR FOREVER RAAAAAAAAAAAA
Edit: I ALSO FORGOT ABOUT PREY SYSTEM. It sounds so fun, I’m excited for it! Gonna turn it on at all times and then cry to my friends that I keep dying as I did with corruption during Visions of Nzoth 1.0 tteehee <3
Stat/number squish, and hopefully not going back to the millions territory in 2 expansion like we did before…
Honestly, there’s absolutely nothing about this expansion that gets me hyped. Maybe the “new generation” finds it all very appealing, which is fine. WoW is still a very beautiful and engaging game, but it’s just not my cup of tea anymore. Almost all the armor, weapons, mounts, etc. are almost ridiculous, and the development of the story and quests is…lackluster.
Why a fantasy game these days has to reflect reality to make everyone feel cozy is beyond me. I play games precisely to forget reality for a while and enjoy the adventure. What also really bothers me is the sheer number of cutscenes in the game. That, too, doesn’t contribute anything to the story for me; I want to experience the storyline while playing, not pointlessly do a quest and then watch a cartoon for three minutes. WoW has become very gear-dependent; everything revolves around leveling up gear as quickly as possible.
I started playing WoW when WOTLK had already been around for about six months. Now that I’ve started playing Classic again a few years ago, I realized what I’d been missing in terms of content. Classic Vanilla, with the possibility of Burning Crusade. I don’t want to criticize the gameplay, WoW as a whole has given me many…many, many enjoyable hours, but I think my train stops here in retail WoW.
Nothing really. If you were to ask me 5 years ago, I’d probably say the opposite. Everything. But right now, nothing appeals to me. Housing. Maybe just to see how the new zones are transformed, but that’s not much, is it?
It’s not.
They already said that every housing item that hits the shop will simultaneously be available by playing the game
Or by paying for the Epic edition. I doubt those items will ‘easily’ become available from regular in-game activities as it would defeat the purpose.
So I guess they may have already lied to you.
What happens in the morning!
Time will tell, class halls felt fun, could have been moved along with each expansion, but nobody ever comes there now. I really enjoy class halls.
