Ok? I don’t see how this is relevant in any way, shape or form.
It’s not because tanks still get instant queues. In high keys it’s just narrowing down to meta tanks though, obviously.
That’s even worse for DPS.
No, you can’t. You entirely changed the context just to make it fit your narrative.
The barrier of entry, in that context, for tanks is not the queue time or getting declined, it’s the required knowledge aquisition before even signing up to the queue.
A tank can’t just yolo hop into a dungeon like DPS can. They first have to study the routes and memorize them. Depending on the key level, the route even changes, so you can’t just memorize one route once and then just play that route over and over again.
For low to mid keys you usually play easy but more inefficient pulls while in higher keys, with more competent players, you have to make harder pulls that are however more efficient.
Learning new routes isn’t an issue for experienced tanks but the thought of having to re-learn over and over still scares off new tanks.
Yes, for DPS players, not tanks because there are less tanks in the queue.
The barrier for entry is a beginner issue, because learning how to route is essential, yet unique to the tanking role.
New players see this → they don’t bother → less tanks → more wait time for DPS because they heavily outnumber the amount of tanks available.
There is no metric available to check whether a tank knows routes in the beginner (low key) stages, so you can’t “filter out” tanks who don’t.
The only metric you can look at is rio and tanks with a lot more rio usually don’t sign up in that bracket anyways so you’ll have to take the "adequate” tank just to get a group going.
These games ALWAYS have the same issues.. DPS waiting a long time because there are not enough people signing up as tanks and/or healers.
Just look at Fellowship. Exact same issue. Why am I mentioning this game specifically? Because it allows you to see the population of each role while queueing.
EVERY SINGLE DAY DPS is “overpopulated” at any given time.
Healer is either “underpopulated” or “normal”.
Tank is ALWAYS “underpopulated”.
On average:
DPS wait 10 for a dungeon.
Healers 1 to 5 minutes.
Tanks literally sign up and have the queue pop instantly.
Delves r not dungeons that we doing in as m+ .People do need to have experience before entering in them and how we can get that experience in delves or in Nm and Hc dungeons? Its simple u cant .. Just follower dungeons not resolving nothing since people do need to feel rewarded in order to do them but also to not be faceroll.
If only somebody will take me baby steps for tank .I can heal almost with every spec but when it comes to tanking I have been failing at keeping aggro .there is always some naughty mob that moves towards other party members
It serves to illustrate: if I don’t care about the success of the dungeon, where is this stress that you’re talking about when playing a tank coming from?
Valuing the opinion of others is tied to the dungeon being a success.
If I don’t care about the dungeon’s success, I definitely don’t care about the players’ opinion in that group.
Makes sense?
When you fly into any country, you have to go through Customs and Immigration Inherent in this process is waiting.
When you fly into any country, you have to go through Customs and Immigration
When you fly into any country, you have to wait.
Why did you have to wait?: Customs and Immigration.
The only person who needs to have some idea of what to do is the Tank, because they need to know the route. DPS and Healers do not need to have any experience when they’re going into a +2, come on now.
