Its a game modus and not lore exclusive anymore. By Alexstraszas verdict, we are not allowed to fight on the isle. And we dont want mommy to get angry at us, do we?
People were complaining they’d had enough of everything being depressing and dark, so they gave us DF instead.
and now people are whining its not dark enough lol people are ridiculous. honestly if i want a game or show to be dark theres plenty of options wow has never been that
Shadowlands was depressing because it butchered the lore beyond revival. Not because it was written to be dark.
It’s actually the worst expansion lorewise because it destroyed so much of the groundworks of Warcraft.
Like I said, I like dark things but they must be written in a good and proper way. Not like Shadowlands which took the fundamental parts of this franchise and ran it through a blender.
You guys must not be invested in Warcraft as much if you haven’t seen all the complaints about this expansion. It was never associated with it being too dark but I guess that’s the new narrative we’re going with now huh?
Yeah because the new faction characters are suddenly best buddies with eachother now. Doesn’t strike me as a cold war.
You must have not played a long time ago then.
I didn’t find it depressing or worst, so your claims of butchered lore = bad are lost on me. I’m just telling you what people said. They got what they asked for.
Jaina and Thrall were always pretty close.
But even in the Cold War there was contact between the two sides. They meet in Iceland (or somewhere neutral) and have smiley photo-ops.
Just because they aren’t shouting at each other doesn’t mean they’re best of buds. Like the god-father said keep your friends close but your enemies closer…
Yeah because people on these forums never were that invested in the Warcraft franchise. You didn’t notice that it destroyed a lot of cultures of a dozen races with this afterlife nonsense.
No we’re practically best friends nowadays.
This whole “let’s get rid of the factions” isn’t realistic despite it being a fantasy like I said in my previous post.
And believe me they will get rid of the factions one day.
ive been invested in wow since wrath when i was 13 and i loved shadowlands. its all personal preference
ive played every expansion since wrath

Sir, we dont do that here. We mindlessly jump on the hate wagon and are angry when not everyone agrees with us,
oh yeah ik

Well the majority thought it was bad and is still bad considering that the game lost a massive amount of subscribers to the point that Blizzard had to throw out discounts within a month from launch.

ive played every expansion since wrath
Do yourself a favor and learn about how Warcraft started, learn about the cultures of the races at that time and tell me it still feels the same way like it does now then.

Cultures and races changing over time? Not possible. Where would we be if things change over time.
Hey you over there, I didnt tell you to stop! Get that huge stone to the pyramid already.
Not to mention, that the horde orcs have different varation and clans in itself for example

I have to defend what I stand for or the game could be ruined AGAIN by a very vocal minority.
The majority already voted with their wallets and straight up quit the game. Your Disneyflight can’t even report sales numbers.
Keep on shilling, or defending as you call it, but the vocal minority here is you. This expansion has already flopped even harder than Shadowlands.
Rug.
Sweep!

One of the key ingredients of Warcraft was seeing all these races with cultural difference. You want them to become bland and boring as sterile as possible?
Exactly why would one have to take interest in WoW now? You guys seem to want to sterliise everything.

Yeah because people on these forums never were that invested in the Warcraft franchise.
My introduction to Warcraft was during Wrath. I’d never even heard of the Warcraft franchise before that. I’m not young, but was never much of a gamer. It was the MMO aspect of it that drew me in, the ability to play online with other real humans.
As someone who came to Warcraft at a time when most of the stories were about a separate ‘big bad’ rather than about the faction war, I have much more fun working with the other faction than fighting against them. (The initial premise of BfA was rather tedious, in my opinion.)

You literally fight against the Alliance or the Horde in the argent tournaments and you fight them again on the gunship in ICC.
Did you forget wintergrasp and isle of conquest aswell?
It all disappeared because the community all piled in on one faction like headless chickens thinking the sky is falling (I won’t be able to get any groups unless I go horde!) whereas if everyone jsut stayed calm and didn’t change everything woulda been fine.
PvP doesn’t really interest me (I never play with war mode on). On the occasions when I have done it, I’m very much aware that I’m playing against human opponents rather than AI. I see my opponents as other humans sitting at computers, not ‘filthy orcs’ or whatever.

If you don’t like RPGs maybe don’t play MMORPG’s
