Might be due to the fact that not every class in this game has spammable cc’s.

I know. I find the ebb and flow of games against rmp/jungle and to some extent when it was still something phdk way more interesting because the game goes through multiples phases and it’s all about grasping what to do during those slow or fast paces that can only last like 10-15 seconds, it’s taking risks, big decisions, and in the end if you lose you are able to perfectly understand why.
There’s no tempo there’s no ebb and flow and ultimately there’s no satisfaction in winning a tsg or any dual melee for which you have to survive the opening because as soon as the damage pressure fades they usually lose. it’s just a matter of pressing your buttons in the right order then winning. Boring. Same goes for wizzards. That’s not really what I want from this game, especially considering how different it was 10 years ago.

Yeah. But it seems that this whole “reacting to and dealing with burst windows” gets better in Dragonflight. Take shamans for example. We get two interesting choices for our main def cd and both of them fit different scenarios (either shorter cd and longer duration or stronger dmg mitigation on a shorter duration and longer cd) plus additional cc possibilities and mobility/anti snare utility. There won’t be anymore this one and only reaction to deadly burst windows and in a world like this they can also give burst combs more tools. It’s a win win situation for all. All the game needs is more variety for all classes to do things and to react to them.
To be fair I don’t like cd oriented gameplay where it’s you have 1 sec to react to Sepsis and then for 1,5 min. you are chilling because if Assass Rogue isn’t Necro his pressure Outside of Vendetta/Sepsis isn’t big of a deal. Wrath gameplay is good example. You line Lavaburst/Chaos Bolt and it matters even outside CDs. I think Wrath success might be beneficial to retail.
There are several issues in what youre saying. You seem to like rmp but
In rmp Fast go =/= clean setup. Both mage and Rogue can solo u in 1 stun and all you need is to press kidney on healer cos its usually impossible to peel anyway (for example recently i died 100-0 in 2sec during cheap shot through dark pact) if they do this to my healer who has to trinket blind theres no way i can peel since rogue will just cloak cos hes 100% sure hes gonna win and theres no way he can die anyway, mage doesn’t need to cast + can position well and anyway in the end my healer would die before i’m able to press double coil or will.die to bleeds (if assa) etc.
Theres nothing such as quick decisions. Everyone knows what is going to happen before it happens. You should have limit tests done at this point so you follow script.
As rmp you have like 5 win conditions so not really if you fail one you move to the next.
This is actually funny cos often when i lose to rmp or jungle i dont even know what killed me.
i wasn’t talking from a rmp pov, i don’t play rmp.
there are when you’re not playing at the last ladder percentile. players make mistakes and are unable to follow or recover their script. this is what is interesting to me and why I play this game.
that’s what I said. i like when you can punish mistakes, swap targets and call it a go based on what you see, and kill in a matter of seconds, for the reasons I gave earlier. again, that’s a matter of personal preference and I understand that the game gets tighter as you play against better players. I’m not denying that there’s a reason that rmp is the iconic comp and why it has always been one of if not the best comp, but to me it’s the kind of comp that makes (made?) this side of the game so interesting, at least at my skill level. I also think rmx domination through the years is also a good scapegoat for a very large scope of players (that I belong to) to complain instead of improving, while again, not denying its strength.

Truth of the matter is Sub/Outlaw Holy/Fire RMP is going to remain busted for the remainder of the expansion because these specialisations are so mechanically broken that they’re at a point where a rework is required to bring them down.
DB for example is a 45 second CD in DF, that change should be live right now.

I literally liked Reece and was even subbed to the guy. Admittedly I only subbed cus I felt a bit of pity for his financial complaints, but why would I do any of the things you’re claiming I did just because I thought our games were bad?

More CC with higher CD’s. There is no contradiction. If CC becomes to spammy we are back to MoP when CC chains were endless and annoying.
