Yeah adding colors that are visible without mouseover is a nice change, but why the hell does the scale start so high and why can’t it be scaled down??
Just use default. There really is no excuse whatsoever, so all this is completely a non-issue.
No one is complaining about the colours, merely the inability to resize
I agree the colours were needed, hence I used an addon to make mine coloured.
I - THINK - there is an addon out there purely to scale UI?
Otherwise, I know I can scale my UI pieces like the micro bar however I want, just by using edit mode and then right clicking the micro bar itself (pops up a new window with options)
I do not use bartender.
I’m not sure what addon I use that gives this option, if the edit-default isn’t giving it…
its highly confusing, to be honest.
Also, wish for a toggle on the nutty blinking they added for the bar…
That confuses the heck out of me.
I didn’t even know what the micro bar was until I saw the screenie - it hasn’t been shown on my UI due to it being hidden, and thus haven’t seen it in 6 years.

Tbh i agree with this one, it isnt hard for them to let us shrink it even more than it can be in the edit mode … i put it on the left of the slider and it still looks to big and clips into my bars, which i had to rearange to compensate for the visually impaired style blizz went for.
Hoping this is why the servers got turned off… to specifically fix this first world problem 
guys!!! purely FYI: just use Bartender. it allows you to scale your micro menu (bigger or smaller, whichever you prefer) so lighten up y’all instead of this dog house cuckery

I haven’t been able to get back in game since this morning yet but there was no making it smaller in the options like every other bar in edit mode.
As you can see 100% is the lowest you can go. So essentially I can only make it bigger…

This bothers me too. Menu is too big for me. The way it was used to be, was perfect for me. One step forward, two steps back.
Hopefully they’ll see the feedback and it’s something they can fix at a later date
are you aware that you can downscale it by a simple script?
idk the frame name right now since i cant log in (ggs blizzard btw) but you can simply do /run FrameName:SetScale(0.8)
you can find out frame names with /fstack and mouseover. You can run this command automatically with https://addon.bool.no/
soo after logging on…
the command you need is /run MicroMenu:SetScale(0.85) to run it every time you log in or
MicroMenu:SetScale(0.85)
if you put it into an addon like. Super easy
The game is unplayable using Blizzard disgustingly ugly default UI.

How is it unplayable? We all use keybindings anyway. And we can move our action bars freely now on a whim.
‘‘Uhh the menu becom a half milimiter bigger’’ You can move the Menu bar freely in the edit mode too you know. Move it a little more to the right. Problem solved.
I’m also not a fan of the new menu, it’s just too big even on the smallest setting, and the eye was WAY too big, I shrunk that down asap. But really, why are they changing stuff that wasn’t broken to begin with? Or give us the option to choose if we want color/no color, large icons (which I can understand is preferable for some people) or small icons (which, again, I can understand is preferable for some people)?
Ugh. I so hope that Microsoft will eventually listen more closely to the community.
Because I need elvui to heal properly and using blizzard default UI makes it annoying to play.
It’s also completely hideous.
I don’t care about the menu size.
