Yep, same boat here. I ding to 80 without finishing the campaign. Havent left town much as I dont care do quests or pve in the world. Now I wait or level another char as I care log in. Theres not much for pvp after they close the modes to be playable as unrated aswell. Played some skirmish today only to face dozen awc players on their team who I imagine are equally bored as everyone else so theyre spamming skirmish with their teams. Its just very boring aswell to go there to test some stuff and only end up meeting people with 17x r1 and 22x glad achievements over and over, doing their arena world championship lineups in comms while self just wanted to test stuff which would been possible to do with shuffles unless they close that few weeks ago aswell so now its only this skirmish left and with no mmr system to make any sense of the match making. Theres no point in the game from pvp pov for the moment, no point even play to test or for fun as its not possible.
Before it hasnt been 7-8 weeks however. They ended season roughly 5 weeks ago, and we have currently 2 weeks for pvp and 3 weeks for m+ left to wait. 7 weeks for pvp and 8 weeks for pve. Cant remember when before people would had downtime between expansion releases waiting over month or even 2 months for their content to play in the game while also paying full amount of sub for the entire duration of it. I would not brush this off as business as usual as it is not the usual.
Transmog, questing, solo is exactly what PVE is…alongside group content.
There is 2 things in an mmorpg, pvp and pve. Whatever is not against another player (pvp) counts as pve (player versus environment).
