And thats proof they hate warlocks. Like he said most talents where baseline now its all talented
Whilst I do agree that locks may be crap in PVP right now, all I'm getting from this thread is just MOP destru was awesome. Yeah, it was awesome, but it was pretty broken and too overpowered at the time. Some of us were there and experienced it.
Something needs to change, but I'd rather not end up that overpowered again. It was kinda silly. If you can't see through that then... you're not thinking straight.

MoP destro was broken af anyone who defends it is delusional :v !@#$ing 350k shadowburn crits
mine is about affliction sl, in bc, best pvp vid i've seen, i 'm not the one that upload it, but have it on my drive since that time, it's too good memories. it shows golden gameplay we had at that time, it shows everything you had at your disposal compared to now, it shows how you could kite your opponent, because they couldn't fly or jump at the other side of the map, it shows how they couldn't take you out of an entire fight with silence and stuns at will. (talking about melee). sadly i think the pvp part of the game is broken and not fixable. at this point i'm waiting for classic server, not as good a gameplay than tbc but so much better than this crap.
I tried affliction again and was doing the azerite quest , and i dotted a big elemental my dmg was so weak went back switched to destro and the dmg was way better
There is no doubt that warlocks have been broken previously, but what really grates me is the pruning that has happened.
We had SO much more utility, and handy spells at our disposal, which made it more of a challenge, and therefore more fun.
Its too one dimensional now. No clutch plays, no real reactive play. You basically just spam 4-5 buttons, and thats what irks me.

I agree.
Did any official watch cata/mop warlock clips lately? I need your help, I cant find a single argument why Warlock shouldnt be brought back to its former state. Help me find one!
You cant keep pruning classes or leave them like they are now. Everything is too simple even lower skilled players are bored. For every inch of complexity removed we get one more inch of class/comp matters more than skill.
That game should still be about growing as a character and as a player because that is what is fun and what motivates you to invest.

It's true and even worst than that, i posted this before it was buried by necro post in the general, in the thread what's the point of gearing.
yeah i saw the tweet they were calling the scaling new tech that would improve wow for many years to come lol. their new tech (lol) is supposed to give you a slight advantage over your opponent with more gear, but when you test it doesn't. gearing is worthless, there is only the class you play, that is op or not. i laugh when they call it new tech because it was existing in vanilla and even more in bc in a better way, you were able to do 1 vs x against undergeared players but it required a lot of skills, because there was a fight. In legion if you had a few ilvl more then your opponents you could just stand there for an hour without doing anything and not die and kill them by pressing one key. So i guess their new tech was existing at the begining of the game and was more efficient, because nobody was complaining about gear and just enjoyed pvp at that time. It's not possible that they regressed as much as coders over 14 years lol it's supposed to be the opposite, my guess is at some point they changed the physics of the game and it's not working the same anymore and never will be again.
It's like why a new game sometimes fails, you have better graphisms, but the gameplay is not quite the same. With that said it's my last post, i'm going to wait for classic and roll a lock as soon as it's out (hope it's not in too long).

That's the only utility for warlocks nowadays.
I would really like them to say sorry to the warlock community after this disgusting clown fiesta of a first season.
Its disgusting how world of warcraft and the dev team have ripped the soul out of the game its no longer a mmo everything is stream lined and has lost its identity I miss the days of having many abilities to use and was skill orientated now its just a zzzzzZz so sad.
Looking forward for Classic and if Ion ever question why is more players on classic then retail should get fired

Holy !@#$, SALIX, that's a name I haven't seen in a while. Used to see this guy outside Orgrimmar all the time and I remember being jealous of his ratings etc. Thanks for posting this.19/10/2018 13:08Posted by Lalaknajust enjoy, and try not to cry, the next time you play.

I mean like we don't have to go back to Cata or MoP.
All we want right now is some surv and mobility, upgrading a talents tree and few baseline spells.
NO.. warlock needs a damn overhaul, its become a such a poor class design, affliction in legion became so boring it was too annoying to play. demonology has become a chore to play, both because of broken spells that don't even work as intended that should of NEVER made it to live and because its design has become more and more out of touch with how the actual game plays, destro is the only spec that has ANY resemblance of what it was and even that needs some real work.
overall the class is in dire need of a rework, not just in numbers or survival but an ACTUAL rework before the end of BFA because its a joke of a design.
Agreed that something needs to be done. Numerically dmg may be fine, but in practice the dmg is not as impactful as the numbers indicate. Affli can multidot targets and do good numbers, but that dmg is irrelevant as it does not kill targets or even significantly harm them. One heal and the dmg is virtually negated.
Demo has nice and fun rotation, but in pvp that dmg does not make it through as it does in pve. Imps fail their casts and hounds alone are not that strong. Pet AI.
About the so called tankiness. Wlocks may be tanky in theory. Higher hp pool, soul leech, healthstone and one defensive cd with rather long cooldown (with offensive component, which is often needed to cast hardly anything in this meta). However even with the current defensives wlocks still take overall more dmg than the "squishier" classes, who can avoid dmg with their mobility, making them overall better at surviving in pvp. With their current toolkit wlocks can't avoid dmg like other ranged, so either their defensives should reflect that or they need more mobility. One option is also to boost their cc so they would not take that much dmg, but I think Blizz wanted less cc in game because it was not fun for the victim of that said cc.
Also currently wlocks are too easy to lock down. Stuns, incapacitates, interrupts, silences, spell reflects, dispells and immunities. Every class has atleast three of those. I am not even mentioning line of sight, but I can tell that having the crappiest mobility in game is not helping much with it.
About the damage. Again it is fine on paper, but when combined with bad defenses, no mobility, long ramp up and vulnerability to cc, wlocks simply can't deliver any meaningful dmg in pvp situations when they are targeted. We just die before we get our stuff running.
Warlocks really need some overhaul. When compared to other classes warlocks have the most weaknesses. If one class is interceptable by every melee and ranged class in the game, wouldn't that be fair that the class could actually even fight back from that position?
Imo with current build wlock dmg spells should be uninterruptable and immune for silences, after all currently we are spending most of the time in melee anyway so the class should be designed as such. Hell even destro's incinerates could be instant. Running around and tossing some fire around would feel good after all. Ofc they would be snared and still be caught easily by everyone, but they could still fight back instead of tabbing out and waiting for spirit healer ress.
In the end I don't care how they fix wlocks. I just would like to enjoy the game content while playing on my warlock.
