Pirates and British accents afaik.
Levelling from 110-120 then getting better and better gear as the expansion went on.
It was a little bit about everything that resulted in almost nothing. Proudmoore family drama,N’zoth/Azshara influence in Stormsong, waycrest family drama in Drustvar (i thought Gorak Tul would get a mini raid at least), Loa stories, zandalari power struggle, faction war, nazjatar, Ny’alotha and of course the woons.
In my opinion most of these got wasted, especially Nazjatar and Ny’alotha. I still can’t believe that both Azshara and N’zoth only got 1 patch, while both of them deserved their own expansion. Nazjatar was also just a worse looking Azsuna while we didn’t even got to go into Ny’alotha in the open world, instead we got Uldum and the Vale…
It would’ve been better to focus on less things and give us a better story. Battle for Dazar’alor was also just a sad excuse to kill a new interesting character just to completely abandon the Talanji/Bwonsamdi storyline immediately after that.
Gameplay wise it was a 2 year long beta testing of new systems that no one liked.
Can’t agree, really hate to fly from zandalar to… zandalar I guess, just to travel between kul tiras and zandalar. Worst horde city by far! And before flying unlocked is was 10 times worse!
Edit; would have been another story if the entrance to the city main had been placed to the other side so we could just glide down to the boat, but noooooo, had to make it tedious.
I don’t feel like I’ve mended Azeroth’s WOONS.
It was a failed attempt at writers trying out morally grey thingy.
They failed at telling multiple stories at the same time, quite miserably so.
Thus in SL we get a linear story.
It was like an exciting Disney movie. Brings me back.
Ultimately I thought the title was quite fitting, because in the end we’re actually fighting for Azeroth, and its people’s, survival. Everything leading up to that point was about forging alliances, which was definitely needed in order to fight the big baddy at the end.
So while on the surface it looks like a bit of a mess, if you dissect it and look at it closely, it kinda makes sense.
