Mauro Dawncastle was a young lad back then when Southshore wasn´t all blighted and destroyed. He would help with the family stables, feeding and taking care of the horses from either soldiers or adventurers that came by the town. He would go inside every time Horde raiding parties came from Tarren Mill, as he still was training the sword and shield by the guidance of his aunt.
All of the characters I played in the Classic era have long been retired, I killed off my Night Elf warrior Aelruil back in Legion because I felt like him dying in a last stand against the Burning Legion on the broken shore felt like a fitting end for a character who cut his teeth in the War of the Ancients.
Then they announced that Teldrassil was gonna get burned and I was sad because that would have been a cool bit of plot for him.
Akamito here would be trying to find his place as the last surviving male member of his tribe after the battle at Mount Hyjal where his brothers and father perished on the front lines buying time for the Night Elves. Ultimately they would be absorbed into the greater Bloodhoof tribe under Cairne.
All my pandaren were on Pandaria. One monk was in Yu’lon’s temple, the other in Chi Ji’s, my priest was also training in Chi Ji’s temple and my hunter was hunting lost artifacts.
My Mag’har priest wasn’t even born yet on alternate draenor.
All my undead have the same story as Cro.
My night elf would’ve just been accepted to become an apprentice druid, something she had been wanting for centuries but couldn’t achieve because she was female.
All my nightborne would still be stuck in Suramar.
Most of my blood elves would be trying to pick up the pieces of Quel’thalas being decimated. My warrior and hunter joined the Argent Dawn at this time to fight the scourge. My DH was following her crush (Kael’thas) out to Outland to become a Sunfury and eventually a DH.
EDIT: My revantusk shaman was starting out exploring the new Horde as an ally. Her brother was a bookworm and was with his mate.

He’d be stuck in Nagrand with the rest of the mag’har. His closest relatives tended to roam the plains, so he’d be both hunting and brawling like any other healthy young orc ought to.

Nope, but i did not know at the start, as for my character… he was a merchant so of course he sailing the seas and hiding amongst the darkspear to avoid his arranged marriage.

Desartin here would be with the Argent Dawn serving in the Plaguelands at this time. He’d be a warrior though intead of a paladin, as his ability to wield the Light only manifested during Wrath of the Lich King.
My Dark Iron’d still be sitting in Blackrock Mountain executing enemies of the state that they didn’t bother throwing into the Ring of Law and battling the Blackrock Orcs and their black dragon masters.
My death knight Salfalur’d probably still be rocking it up in Northend guarding Icecrown Citadel.
Fending off Quillboar and Centaur raiders throughout the whole of Barrens as a Horde loyalist, somewhat wary of undeads and warlocks, but could never think of harming one of the Horde.
Alot has changed since then, alot of scars and brands across body and soul, a whole lot more spite and hatred towards the corrupt and defilers, and a family to temper him.

Dangerbeard was on a mission in Khaz Modan. A mission to demoralize, sabotage and indiscriminately kill the Ironforge Dwarves in the name of the Dark Iron clan (and the Firelord).
Roessler, my paladin, was doing basically what he does now and fighting the undead and the Horde except he wasn’t as old and bitter as he is now.
My hunter, Rorick, was a kid in Duskwood.

That was where I started out back in the day, on my server (Scarlet Crusade US) there wasn’t enough of an RP population to sustain much of an RP hub outside of Goldshire.
Naoru would be roaming Mulgore and the Barrens as a young brave, fighting centaur, quillboar and all other sorts of trouble from that time, all while honing his skills as a shaman.
That said, I made him in MoP.
