Let me take the reasons if my opinion is correct

  • They seem friendly

  • First monks are the chilliest

  • eating bamboos

  • no harm to the humans

I’ve been playing Draenei since TBC and i will play my Prot Warr Draenei male until i die.

Draenei are propably the wisest (oldest) race in the game, physicaly strong, great mages, strongly connected to the light, they are very friendly race, very proud race and majestic. I love them with all my heart.

You’re right with the new race tho, they’re very old aswell, just like Draenei.

Well, to be fair, as Draenei being:

  • wise (oldest race)
  • physicaly strong
  • great mages
  • strongly connected to the light
  • friendly
  • proud
  • majestic
    (listing by Drekhai)

… sounds to me a lot like a bit overkill on the “positive” design spectrum. So having Draenei be retcon to be NOT the oldest race is pretty fine to me. Being too flawless means being too pale as race/character. Remember the Mary Sue moments of Sylvanas Windrunner the last few expansions…

Pandaren
They are chill both by culture and also seem to make happy/sleepy drunks.
Their culture also seems to have raised them to be less susceptible to the vices associated with the Sha
