I second this,i had to kill him with a second character to get the cloak transmog cause it bugged the first time and didn’t drop,and on top of it the cloak is ugly AF can’t mog it with anything.
Mage tower was a cool challenge with cool goodies if u could beat it.

Congrats! Could you give some tipps how you did it (can’t find any guides specific to??)? I stopped interrupting the poison now, because his regen is so random, that my silence was always on cooldown second cast. I also really struggle with dps’ing the spider add fast enough due to the ground mechanics and melee range, and when he hatches he casts so fast even if I use 3 different cc and still die to his cast. The lowest I got him was 165 mil. I know rogue has a different toolkit, but still melee and same silence cd.
He’s primarily intended as a final challenge for Delve content. Presumably players do the fight because fighting bosses with mechanics is fun. Not everything needs an extrinsic reward tied to it.

i would like to comment this but i havent the strength.
Is challenging content existing as a Challange really that alien of a concept? 
I wrote one for shadow. It might have some stuff that’s more widely applicable to other classes in it.

You get a cloak and a toy for “?” Mode, and a title and a mount for “??” Mode.
