Whats with the 120's constantly ganking leveling players?

Some people can’t help themselves being cough.

I mean, world PvP is world PvP, but I’d never attack someone that’s way off my level, let alone a lowbie that I can one-shoot. There’s no honor in that, neither within the game as a mechanic nor from a RP perspective. I just usually wave at them as a sign to them so they can go on their merry way without worrying that I’ll gank them. The only exceptions are if they’re dumb enough to attack me first, which almost never happens or if they’re killing a fellow player of the faction I’m playing. Gotta’ help a bud in trouble.

Funny thing I noticed - there are people that are such douches that can’t help themselves even in a supposed neutral zone like Moonglade during the Lunar Festival. Furthermore, some of them attempt to one-shoot you in a crowded area just to get that lowbie kill, even though they’re well aware the guards will one-shoot them in a second. I have had multiple occurrences on lowbie alts where they won’t kill me, but they get killed themselves. Makes no sense to me shrugs.

Oh jeez! Oh that beautiful cringe! Some people are just far too entitled! Haha!

In all honesty, I think ganking lowbies is tolerable. As long as its just a few kills while you are doing something else. It’s just the danger of War Mode in the end. The risk and the thrill!

But for the love of god, don’t be surprised if it happens to you! This is hilarious that that eejit thought what he was doing was one-way only!:joy::grin:

Well, I just had an experience…

Took a portal to Uldum to hand in world quest to Magni, tab out while it loads in to put on music. when I tab back in a 110 paladin is attacking me and getting mobbed by the guards, so i pop concussive, and turtle out of there while this paladin is mauled by the guards. I sit for a second and cant help but wonder what the hell made him think attacking a 120 in a zone with guards to boot was a good idea?

I guess he didn’t think at all xD

aww thats cute. Alliance players trying to benefit from the nice big fat 30% bonus and then cries about being ganked.

Turn off warmode

Once I killed a low-level player … after that I felt terrible. Like I killed a little kitten. I do not know what a pervert you need to be in order to constantly kill “weak kittens”, or rather, I mean low-level players.

Here is your free reply, keep up the good work!

People have been ganking low levels for years. Never got ganked in hellfire or westfall before?

edgy… ha

…it’s because they can.

I’m sure if I were Level 120 I’d do it too.

People who grief on low level players, more often than no can’t compete in PvP when the opponent is equal to their level. So to feel like a PvPer, they have to kill players way below their level.

What is fun is when those players get attacked by an equal level player. They might not know their abilities that well, but they sure as heck have all their escape mechanics mapped out perfectly. Not that it do them any good, they usually die anyway.

Yes, i played on pvp servers since early/half tbc. The only places that were notorious for high level gankers were the towns in hellfire and occasionly stv. Other than that it was pretty rare to see a max lvl hunt down lower levels. Unless it was in the new zones of the expanion that was going on.

There weren’t nearly as many max levels hunting lower levels in the world back then. But now it is pretty common to see lvl 120 people in places like the barrens killing people

I didn’t do anything! So no retaliation here!

A horde was ganking in lakeshire lowbies, as he said as retaliation to the gank 25 hordes quest.

Fun times!

ahh yes gank low levels in retaliation for what the 120’s did…
