True, I didn’t like him at first but he came a long way and I started liking him more and more. Clearly he is turning things around.
Again true, but I found him fun, also he had that badass moment with Rezan after he almost died, the whole theme of “desperate times call for desperate measures” with him and Bobsalami. Was kinda sad he tied even though it was very well telegraphed that would happen pretty much from Talanji’s introduction.
"i’ve taken care of everything “daughter, father” - Rastakhan / Arthas
he sold out his whole bloodline for a heroic leap and died from a overdose of death loa powers …
to quote Gul’dan “he will be remembered as the fool who sold out his daughter for nothing”
I had this rewrite in my head some time ago that instead of Rastakhan, Talanji died somehow and it turns out that thats what Bwonsamdi meant by “tying your bloodline to death” thing, Rastakhan will again be immortal but he will forever be cursed to see his bloodline die. That in turn making him take his role as king ever more seriously, because now his real legacy are his people and not his actual children/family. Idk I feel like Talanji is very bland (even though she is clearly the better leader) and I can do more interesting stuff with Rastakhan then her.
nah his a man who is past his prime he will never be the king of legend he should have died 120 years ago but because of a stupid lizard thinking the natural order don’t apply to his Best buddy rastakhan the empire suffered under a complete fool this long i’m only sad the didn’t die more painfully to really hammer in how bad this deal was and how much he betrayed his daughter
Well yeah, that’s how the story turned out to be and he was a waste. All I am saying is that he had potential to be an interesting character, but he was always meant to be the stepping stone to Talanji.
he was painted as idiot even back when we first heard about him its not a recent thing its like when sylvanas simps claim she never evil even though she was clearly evil as far as back as base game
Yes, thats my point he had potential for an interesting redemption arc, with an (imo) interesting twist. How it played out in the story, it was very telegraphed and very predictable, you could see Rastakhan’s death a mile away, I mean hell why did they even bother to bring him back after Zul’s “nothing personal” moment.
Think “The Emperors new groove” as a reference. Moron king F’s up big time, horrible outcome, starts trying to live up to the standard he though he had.
like king like loa the way rezan died was pretty funny to me … you could see the trap a mile away but this ancient lizard had no clue and they clearly keeped him alive so he could keep digging the hole deeper
Oh yeah, it truly was a wonder how the Zandalari survived so long under Rastakhan and Rezan. You would think that the whole “empire” would have died to something stupid long ago under them.
Human: Arthas. Most interesting character of them.
Dwarf: Magni I guess. I enjoy quoting his words from BFA-woonz/champion.
Nelf: Maiev
Gnome: Millhouse Manastorm
Draenei: Akama
Worgen: Genn
Orc: Alternate Gul’dan. He was a real pr!ck.
Undead: Lord Godfrey. Silverpine story was just… chef’s kiss
Tauren: Baine. The Old Hatreds questline gave him something to do.
Troll: Vol’jin I guess.
Belf: Valeera for… reasons. Kael’thas for a more serious answer.
Goblin: Gallywix. He’s like the only goblin who’s interesting to me.
Pandaren: Taran Zhu for bringing the smackdown on Garrosh.
Dracthyr: Sarkareth.
Velf: Umbric
LF draenei: Telaamon. I forgot his name, but I didn’t forget his sacrifice.
DI dwarf: Thaelin all the way!
Cool tiran: Jaina, also for reasons
Mechagnome: King Mechagon. His voice acting is top-notch. “SPARKFLUX! The invaders have made it past the outer defenses.”
Nightborne: Elisande.
HM tauren: Huln.
Mag’har: I so wanna choose Grom because of Kevin Michael Richardson’s beautiful voice, but I’ll go for Ga’nar for the Frostfire Ridge story alone.
Zandalari: Not even a competition-Rastakhan forever!
Vulpera: Hard to remember any of them outside of Meerah, mainly because of her love for Dolly and Dot.
