What's Your Secret WoW Confession?

lol xD well done

I tend to go into expansions completely blind. I don’t even know what the first TWW raid is called. The sum of my knowledge is that the expansion is set underground, has a new kind of dwarf that I will never play, and something about Xal’atath, but I’ve forgotten who she is.

Also I do not and have never paid attention to the sweeping big lore that the game tries to lay out. I just don’t care. I don’t mind the small scale stuff, the little multi quest storylines that have personal meaning to some NPC or another, but I legitimately am not interested in the WoW universe as an entity.

I do feel a bit guilty because I suspect the writers put a lot of effort into it, but all I want is a decent swords and magic fantasy environment with social gameplay.

I never managed to do Spine of Deathwing solo, believe me i tried a lot of times, but i just can’t :man_shrugging:

lol… I remember mages on LFR putting up portals to stormwind over the portal Kalecgos opens to the Eye…

Classic mage trolling

Me neither. I’ve read all the ‘help’ articles, watched the videos … I’m not great at remembering things so always get in a panic, do something stupid and fail.

Best thing I can suggest is what I’ve always done.

!st thing is you make this maco /target Boss2. This macro will immediately target the burning tendon when you lift up a plate, allowing you to smash it and move on further up the back.

The golden rule for Spine is ALWAYS stand in the little lava holes you make when you kill a tentacle. If you do this you’ll never fly off.

When it starts kill all the tentacles quickly as you can and I always pick the spot on the left closest to the metal plate. If a tentacle sprouts from the right kill it. You want a tentacle to spawn at the back left or back right. When you kill a tentacle an add appears. be careful with big aoes because they may take out a tentacle you are keeping and it spawns them randomly and you may find one at your feet. if you do quickly kill it.

Stay in the blazing hole and let the roll deal with them. Now you just sit and wait for ten bloods to appear. A good tip is to kill the ones directly on your feet, they will burst and reform almost immediately. When you have a good amount of bloods, usually takes a couple of minutes this is when you need to be careful. Run out of the blazing circle side to side, left to right, right to left etc. each time you cross the ridge you will start a new Roll countdown… Do NOT panic when you see the message saying Deathwing is about to roll, you get ten seconds before he actually does. But do not hang around. Remember you are also getting slowed when you move away from the hole until you break off the tendrils holding you, and if you get too close they will grab you and slow you. Also be aware that due to clipping the holes my stop you dead even though you are still running. if this happens jump out of the hole. You want to gather all your bloods at your feet in the middle of Deathwing’s back which is the little raised part.then blast them with a good aoe. If you panic and think you won’t have enough time to get the bloods and fireball add always return to your hole, take a breath and try again.

A good tip to remember is that creeping blood adds will always target you, you don’t need to taunt them. As soon as they appear they will beeline for you no matter what hole they come from so just let them come to you and if they reach you when you’re standing in a hole, aie them down and they will immediately reform. This way you always have a steadily growing collection of blood ads close at hand and ready to immediately follow you soon as you start to move them to remove the plate.

Now you target your tentacle and let the add form. It will chase you and your job is to drag it over ten corrupted blood, they look like bubbling liquid on the floor. remember at all times these bloods are slowly trying to get to a wound to reform into a blood add.

Once you start dragging it over bloods it will enlarge and you wait until it has a fireball underneath it. Then you get it close as you can to the plate then kill it.

As soon as you kill it IMMEDIATELY stand in one of the burning holes where the tentacles sprout from. Soon as it lifts the plate hit your new target macro and a good decent attack will one shot it.

This point is where most people fail because Deathwing will be starting a roll soon as you leave the hole. If you’re ranged it’s a simple case of kill a tentacle and move forward to the hole it leaves and follow that plan until once again you are standing in a hole closest to the next armour plate. Melee will need to be closer but a ranged attack like a Howling Blast from a dk or a weapon throw from a warrior should be just as effective. if not you have ample time to run up, smack it with a good melee attack and one shot it.

You will have more tentacles sprouting, so again, kill all in range until you have bloods spawning.

You repeat the same process as you did for the 1st plate.

After the 2nd plate is removed, you have even more tentacle spots to spawn bloods from but the floor should already be littered with bubbling bloods so once again wait until you have a good amount, line them up, aoe them in the middle of the spine, kill the add when he has gathered 10 blood and formed his fireball then the tendon and you will end the encounter.

It can be an incredibly frustrating and annoying fight but it’s one of those instances where once you’ve done it once and know what to do, the only annoying thing is the wait for bloods on the 1st plate and that roleplay you’ve seen 20 billion times.

Always remember the golden rule.

If you do not need to move, stay in a burning hole to be held in place. Tentacle adds will flt off, blood adds do not. So don’t worry about losing them to a roll.

That will be a list:

  • I want a second Warcraft movie. But the story told in a way that someone new to the franchise understands it. And with better costumes.

  • The game needs more new players, especially in rated PvP. But i dont like to group up with new players. I never accept them in LFG for rated and i tend to leave leveling dungeons when stuck on something a new player cant know but is obvious to me.

  • As a programmer i know the answers to questions like “How can i write a macro and or addon to always cc an enemy healer without setting focus manually and independent of arena1/2/3”, but i never post the answer because its a huge advantage to have for myself and i dont want it to be used against me.

  • I like fomo rewards which can be acquired through skill only and cant be grinded through time investment. I dislike the idea of bringing rare or prestige unobtainable items back (I bought the rogue T3 from the black market myself tho).

  • I miss the time of TBC where i was a complete noob and information about the game was not easily obtainable, the game was much simpler but more magic back then.

  • As a programmer i dont understand the need for a wow2 because we are playing it right now. This program is nothing like it was in 2004.

  • The money i have spent on this game would by know easily buy me a used car

I did mine earlier up

I once said no to us buying a house on the other side of town because they had Horde memorabilia all over it.

I lie, the house was filthy and it made Orgrimmar look clean.

Yeah, sure buddy.

  1. I have made so many outfits just for this priest that I need an addon to have all of them saved. And I still spend an embarassing amount of time trying to make new ones.
  2. There is a not so secret bug - Every time you aquire a Viscious Saddle, you will get a second one in the mail. I aquired all viscious mounts this way (it’s not like I had a choice anyway).
