The logic usually boils down to “they’re the two most druid-focused races in the game and some of the Horde despoil nature therefore the tauren should abandon the Horde in favour of the night elves and their nature-despoiling allies instead.”

Tauren are a Shamanistic people, not Druidic.
They respect Action and Honour.
They value peace over conflict.

Orcs value honour take action and are Shamanistic, but like conflict.
Night elves, Are not shamanistic, Do not value Honor, and do not value peace. but, they do take action.

An even Better match would be Pandaren!
They Value Honour, Peace, and are quite shamanistic. and on top of that strive for Balance in all things!

I think it is a bit weird that tauren haven’t had a spirutial or cultural revolution / contemplation moment about their place in the world and how it has changed / how it has forced them to change.

The Japanese for example, after opening up to the world, basically went from 1600 feudal era time-stop into becoming more modern than some nations like Russia at the time.

I think it’d be very cool to see the change in culture of especially older and younger tauren generations. Granted, even if you take the whole timeline of WoW into account fro WC3 to nowadays, there’s basically just 1 very young tauren generation in there so far, not so much.

It’s a bit like with Night Elves who insisted on throwing nightsabers and huntresses against shredders in Ashenvale.
