After all, I didn´t become a “Starcaller” by communing with random critters… though that reminds me, i need to change back to my normal mog… 
I generally build hunters around a “theme”, I have a zandalari that only tames dinosaurs, for example… 
I always keep going back to the Grand Gryphon as my main flying mount.
For me it strikes the perfect balance between ‘simple/mundane’ and ‘interesting and cool’. I don’t like over the top mounts with big flashy saddles and such.
For ground mount, I now tend to use the Grizzly Hills Packmaster:

As for battle pets: I particularly like the dog ones; especially some of the ‘newer’ ones look really nice. I hope they’ll make more real life breeds in due time.
The cat mount from the store cause someone gifted it to me without me expecting it.
And Spectral Tiger Cub; it’s a cat with amour so very cute imo
