The only thing that bothered me was Alexandros and Darion not talking more when they first met each other again, while literal 5 minutes before that you get a massive monologue about how bad the maw is from the 
swedish? etheral, that feels like a joke even if you have 5 stars and helicopters chasing you.
Although I do not share your sombre mood on the subject, I personally think it best to disregard ANYthing coming from royalty. As far as I am concerned they have always made bad “leaders”.
Well, the good news being, one does not have to stay too long in any one zone, if the appeal is off-putting. (I personally loathe Maldraxxus. Awful place lol.) Just one brave attempt at the loremaster achievement and then it’s chill time
