My guess is that it makes players level both on Hardcore (cuz more fun lvling) and PvP (cuz don’t want to miss out PvP and TBC). It increases characters made across all realm and looks healthy on a Blizzard presentation to shareholders. In short - business.
one sub is one sub.
i leveling 5 toons to 60 since hydraxian (3 warriors. 2 priest )Clasic fresh always have thousand of people that hardcore. Usually you need waiting for the mob respan on the fresh of clasic .On clasic hardcore never wait. And yes if you know your class(Is more fast leveling on hardcore that normal realm pvp)My experience
Nope, it’s not faster.
You have to be up to date with your gear, otherwise you go back to Elwyn. You can’t repeat a dungeon (24 hour lockout). Lvl 60 can’t boost you unless it is in open world, but it is still VERY dangerous.
You don’t compete for mob spawns, because less people are playing HC. The reason is - people are afraid that they will die. It is dangerous, no matter what pvp server players are saying.
I fully agree that PvE leveling is easier than PvP. But HC leveling is not.
Is your opinion. I have another bassed in my experience. Usually only raiders buy Bost ,because they die. ( On raid)Yhe time of mob respan changed on hardcore released. On hydraxian ,the time was more fast that now. Based in my experience hc is more fast that pvp.
The only argument that matters, but totally ignored by OP.
Absolutely useless and ridiculous thread.
Hello Pacalis! It’s not that the PvE vs. PvP distinction is ignored—it’s just so basic that it doesn’t need much explanation. If you think “PvE = PvE and PvP = PvP” is a valid argument, it shows you’re not digging deeper into why that distinction should matter in this specific case.
Just repeating “PvE is different from PvP” is like matching shapes to holes without asking if the rule itself makes sense. If you actually think about it, the Hardcore server is fundamentally different from a regular PvE server, and the distinction doesn’t really apply here. Hardcore is its own unique mode, and transferring to a PvP server doesn’t disrupt anything.
So instead of sticking to surface-level reasoning, take a moment to think about why the PvE/PvP difference should matter here and explain it. I’m genuinely curious to hear your reasoning—if there’s a valid point, I’d like to consider it.
Also, I’d like to add that no discussion is useless or ridiculous! And if it were, you’d be part of it the moment you chose to intervene. Thanks!
My friends waiting seven days for create characters on horde (pvp realm) if you send thousand of deads characters . The only pvp realm would be unbalanced. Your porst is ridiculous. If you want pvp go play pvp realm (no hardcore)
I want to level to 60 on HC, then die in a glorious makgora battle, and finally resurrect as a true and proven warrior on PvP realm. Is it too much to ask?
Hello Palmare! Your response completely ignores the point already made about temporary solutions to prevent faction imbalances, like blocking transfers temporarily or managing faction locks the same way Blizzard already does with character creation. These systems are in place for a reason and can be applied to transfers just as easily. The idea that allowing Hardcore transfers would automatically lead to imbalance is overblown, especially when solutions exist to mitigate that.
