prevoker is just as disgusting if not more disgusting the healing output is way too high compared with other healers
Disc makes evoker look trash.
Iâd much rather face an evoker than a priest ANY day.

Problem is if they made all healers like disc, every other class would suddenly be âHey, they can do almost as much damage as me, and they can healâ, So Blizzard buff damage again.
So the cycle continues!
Disc is fine as it is. Its the other healers that are not OK.
A) Remove dampening. Change it to dampening of mana regen (so games dont last for ever). Right now, in PvE I have 10k mana regen. The moment I step into an arena it goes down to 4k. And all the âmana efficient healsâ are all but useless for ALL healers. Simply because they require a 2-3s cast time. So right now, a healer runs out of mana in ~3 to 4 minutes. Its an acceptably long arena match. So, just remove dampening. And tune mana regen if games are too long.
B) Make it ilegal to drink in arenas (the mana you have is the mana you get, not more not less).
C) Buff ALL other healer throughput. So, if a disc can DPS 3M and heal 3M, I can heal 6M and DPS 1M. Unlike now where I heal 3M and DPS 1M. And Rshaman is supposed to be the âagressiveâ healer⌠Rdruid and Hpriest are quintecencial throughput healers and they heal 8M but DPS 0M. Basically how it should work.
Thats what I suggest they should do about disc priest.
discs has endless defensives. if its threatened, it pops a massive shield.
The real question is whatâs the point to play dps if healer do more dmg than a dps on top of healing and having tools to make his team survive?
Then why we all asked to nerf tanks to the ground, itâs pretty much the same with druid pal tank they both did ton of dmg and bring utility to make their team unkillable.
Imo healer should heal and tanks just tanks, having some button to do dmg OK but not topping the dmg meter or like disc oe more dmg than sp thatâs ridiculous and bad design

Seems to me disc is more vulnerable to cc than a lot of other healers.
Maybe they can do more dmg than most healers, but other healers make up for it in other ways.
Mistweaver, for instance, have insane mobility and control.
So yeh⌠if the dps donât help out with stopping some cc on their disc, the disc becomes pretty helpless. And at the moment, it seems veery few people pay attention to their healer. Except to cry when they donât get heals.

Its really simple. In RSS where dampening ramps up fast, strong damage reductions gain value and combined with some naturally tanky specs, it allows disc to act like a third dps.
Donât know exactly what should be nerfed, but double PS seems incredibly over the top.
Please dontâ forget that disc is the highest population healer, so itâs another factor.
When it comes to healers that deal tons of damage, FW monks are way ahead, but not so popular ;p
Also, rogues and warriors and very decent now, and I believe disc is the best healer (together with holy paly, but they underperform) into that meta. DoM, 2xPS in stun - helps.
Prevoker doesnât have:
- 2 walls
- Spam purge
- Mass dispel
- Long duration cc
- HP swap
- Burst damage and dps of a proper dps player while being a healer
But yeah itâs prevoker who is the problem, sure! With the only defense cooldown becoming more and more useless the higher the dampening becomes because it doesnât mitigate any damage and only delays it!
Also guess what? Dealing damage with prevoker using laser beam actually cuts your healing in half since it uses the same ressources as echo does. While disc can just heal with atonement, huh?

It depends on what bracket you are playing. Lets consider this related to rated PVP.
2v2 is completely overrun by Disc priests and Assa rogues, because its brainless damage combined with dampening, and 2v2 right now is all based around spamming dmg and keeping up pressure.
3v3, Disc is not that great because dampening starts late, youâre not allowed to do much damage because you just have to heal directly and only works with more setup based comps, usually involving rogues, hunters, mages. You CANT Pve heal as disc, youâre playing on a timer.
Solo Shuffle Disc is okay, but if the game lasts too long you simply cannot top your teammateâs health compared to say an Evoker or Resto druid.
Bottom line is, Disc is as good as the game and classes in the game are. If you are not allowed to do any damage through Atonement, game goes too long and all your teammates are low health, there is no coming back from that, especially in dampening.
Interesting way of making things equal.
