Pretty much this. I do believe double honor rates would just be wrong because, assuming roughly equal winrates, it’d allow Alliance players to gear that much faster. But giving Alliance player PvE-oriented incentive like gold, mats, badges etc. is prolly fine, at least for starters. It could very well be a way to entice the typical PvE-minded players to give BGs a chance every now and then. Even with same-faction BGs enabled, the more ppl take part in BGs the better for everyone involved, I’d wager.

How can draenic water and neither cloth in a box motivate new player to try PvP? He can just get it from some ogre in less that 5 minutes, including travel from Shatrath.
Sure 200% honor is overkill, but 133-120% is just fine, depending on how much Alliance in queue today.

You can also get Eternium/Khorium Ores and even Badges of Justice, according to what I’ve seen. And again, this is on top of normal BG rewards.
They’re prolly going to start with little and see how it goes. But either way I wouldn’t expect them to improve honor rates - though they could increase the amounts of gold and mats you get from those bags. To expect better honor rates than the other faction, in a PvP game, is simply wishful thinking I believe.

Here we go … so called “facts” are stated. The funny thing about “facts” are you can turn everything to your own truth by just ignoring everything that doesn’t favor your narrative. But to enlighten you, yes alliance had instant queses but if you would have taken at least 2 minutes of your spare time to read the blue post you would exactly know why they implemented that reward system.
The current situation is an increasing population of horde players across the majority of servers to a point where it becomes toxic. Blizzard acknowledeged that fact and in retail they have already realised that from a certain tipping point onwords they could make the other faction objectivly better people still wouldnt swap due to the social scructure and the connected benefits. You dont believe me? Here you go:

This is where TBC is currently heading and Blizzard is aware of that fact. Especially since removing queue times from horde removes a possible decision factor going for alliance. They try to counteract know with the implementation with small benefits for the alliance. In my opinion it won’t work and actually a much more radical approach is necessary to reach a healthy faction balance. But its their miserable effort to counteract the stream towards the horde side.
So my friend here you got your answer and now please stop with these repetetitve posts, which can be avoided when the OP would actually READ blue posts.

horde whined on the forums til they got the entire game changed to suit them.
its a bonus for wining, wich with removal of premades ain’t happening anymore for alliance, because players join for that box and when horde gets 3 base in ab for example throw the game.
Played 3 games this morning, won none.
The box is something extra. You got it only because Blizzard takes care of you, nothing else.
You are playing on pvp servers and do not join battlegrounds and only pve.
Blizzard needs to give you extra incentives to make you start playing bgs on pvp servers, lol…

I love the most how zugs are calling ally the crybaby faction after crying for 2months constantly

Almost every TBC-Pserver gave the alliance several advantages to improve faction balance.

Let me see if i get your point correctly. It’s a player created issue when alliance don’t que so they don’t deserve any motivation in form of extra reward BUT it’s NOT a player created issue when horde have long ques because the majority of ppl chose to go there eventho it was obv from pservers that this was going to happen?

You mean economy that is RMT drug addicted? The least gold in Alliance trash bins does is reducing amount of illegal gold in the economy.
What Alliance deserves is reason for players to play for the Alliance on the long run, not criticism of Horde main that didn’t ever played on minority faction, judging by trolling posts.
