so whoever writes “skill issue” should maybe go to elementary school…
because that would be the case if there was only ONE tank class.
or maybe you played dh? you can play this thing with old 2-button nes cotroller. and he can easily survive frontals while my pala tank needs well considered cd rotation.
That’s cute. DH tanks die just as well as pala tanks if they take frontals without CDs up. They just have fewer CDs to cycle through.
It’s funny the way everyone was complaining about how pala tanks were OP in the second half of season 1, and now all the rerollers who started playing it when it was meta are discovering it’s actually one of the more difficult tanks to play when you can’t have 100% CD uptime.
Author even mentioned with exception of NL and HoI where spellreflect have some value.
Now, author is being a bit overly dramatic. Yet the fact is also that warrior hower around the 3000-3500 range, while bears and DHs hower around the 3200-3700 range. So there is somethings to be said about what tanks bring the better kit for the job at the moment.
So, can prot warrior probably do whatever author want it do? Most likely.
Will prot warrior have a harder time to get into keys due to public pereception? Indeed, it is so. Above is quoted a perfect example on how most see it.
Should that stop author from just pushing their own key and go towards the top 0.1 for title? No, it should not stop the author. If you put in the effort, warrior can get there as well. It will just be more tricky and take more work.
Even so, let us not brush away all OPs concerns on the matter, just as “git gud, there are no problems”.
To be fair, while Prot War’s are fine for tanking and the OP is definitely suffering from a skill issue judging by logs, tank balance is in a terrible state and has been most of the expansion.
For some unfathomable reason, Blizzard are really stubborn about Prot and Blood being last place on damage. Even the aura buffs are carefully measured to keep them 10-20k from the top at all times. It’s strange.
Prot warriors have done 28s and even 29 in key level keep in mind before the weekend the highest key in the world was 29 and warrior had done at that level now i see it has gone up to 30 in 9 runs.
So the spec is able to play world first keys at least up til this weekend so it is not the spec that hinders you to do high keys.
But absolutely playerbase being biased to meta might hinder you.
And the DPS in mythic dungeons Warrior is number 5 and Blood DK is number 4
One of the, if not the best warrior in PvE, and he’s upset. This radiates into lower rating too, it’s not just about timing 27 vs 30. It’s all about maximizing success rates for pug players. They let their game rot and introduce tenders in the cash shop. What does this tell you?
