This is the part where you can basically drop your entire post, since you’re disregarding one part of content which you can argue is the same in terms of skill level required to obtain the set and are failing to view them from a equal stand point.

Challenge mode is literally labeled as an expansion feature, arena is not.

You can’t do challenge mode again, it doesn’t exist, but you can do arena.

However I wouldnt mind at all if they made those unlockable too if that would make you feel better.

you cant do pvp from that expansion again either, sure pvp itself isnt a feature but class design from Mists will never exist again so you figurativley speaking should never be allowed to earn it again as the classes have so vastly changed so you could say that it was a feature/iteration of the expansion

Yes it is.
Getting 2400 in MoP is not the same as getting 2400 in any other expansion.
PVP rating can drastically become easier / harder to obtain each patch.

Mythic sets are a source of genuine gear. Elite PVP gear is always temporary, it’s introduced and designed to be such, and it’s usually sought after for the looks rather than the stats.

What would they fill the old mythic raids with if they removed the sets?
It would be really weird to implement.

I have several Elite sets for multiple classes and own multiple of the rarest items ever made available in the game.

Idgaf if they’re all made available again.

I’m strongly for old Elite Sets being added back to the game, but only if you earned them when they were current.

I deleted my whole s9 Elite(before xmog was a thing) and somehow lost my Elite s10 Shoulders from Cata.
Earned my first 2.2 achievement in s9 then got Arena Master and HotH in S10 but apparently that isn’t enough proof to have them restored to me.

Because Blizzard defines “having earned them” as “Having looted them”.

If you only ever obtained ONE piece of the elite set then that means you never earned the others, which means that according to Blizzard you do not deserve them.

Ik they’re not the same achievements but lets be real, I wouldn’t have played those seasons out without having bought every piece by the end.

The most common argument i get from people in response to what i say is: “Well you coulda just played half the season and not bought all of it”.
Sure i’ll accept that argument for s9 (Even though that isn’t the case it’s a valid argument).
But when it comes to season 10, believe me when i tell you the RBG scene was THRIVING since it was only the 2nd season they were available, and fighting for HotH was a whole season battle.

Sorry for the long reply i just feel very strongly about this since iv’e been trying to get my Shoulders restored at least for 4 expansions now lmao

You’ll never get the majority of the old school crowd to agree here.

People want to have that special something in their collection because they want to have something to rub in the faces of the plebeian masses.

I picture them as the guys that raided before transmogging was a thing just so they could afk in front of the Ironforge/Orgrimmar bank to show off their shiny epics.
