Why i buy boosts

Can’t get invited cause doesn’t meet the min requirements -> buys a boost to meet those requirements -> Leaders notice that a lot of boosted people are starting to leak in and raise the requirements -> buys more boosts to meet those increased requirements.

And the cycle goes on and on… :carousel_horse:

Good. Join up other story players and make a group you can take into the LFR version. You can queue up as a group/raid group.

idk, play with me? I also plan on creating a team for the story and raid since I don’t raid in high endgame (but will because of the armor).

You can reach out to me via mail ingame Heramis-KultderVerdammten if you want

I suggest blizzard to add support for boosting to the user interface, and automatic payment on completion, a bit like the auction house, so the boosters post their offer on the boosting auction house, with boost price, dungeon or raid, normal, heroic or mythic, and then people can bid or buyout the boost, a bit like queuing for a dungeon, all members are automatically transported to the dungeon and once the last boss is killed the boosters receive the payment. Additionally if they had agreed to loot stack and trade all loot to the boost buyer then that’s all handled automatically and the boost buyer gets the loot without any need to trade.

People who want to form groups using other means can still do that if they want, everyone wins.

one good reason must be you get in group with GOOD players
not bots in pugs who ninja pull wipe group and ignore mechanics on purpose
is that what hc castle pugs get as"players" nowadays
plus if rl passes lead to one other guy and he in his 226 mythic gear start abusing his leadership for no reasons
jerks could use a time off from raiding if they wanna vtk low dps and not for mechanics

Like 2h ago I had that thought about rolling into DH tank for the rest of Shadowlands. PUGed +6 keys as with full group of +205ilv so it would be safe enough to practice. Easly timed, key got +2, since first boss I was flamed by ele shaman. That single key was enought toxicity for me for this day and for sure I wont play any tank in WoW ever again. PUG world is such a madness that only masochists would want to push keys.

i feel the need to point out both of you are adults, by stating your age and gender it does come off as you trying to use botha s defensive tool. Where in a world of equality him being a 30 year old man has no impact on the validity of his statements.

Now i think he’s a tool because he brings nothing to this discussion. But i have to point out the fallacy of your “ironic” statement.

To teh actual topic at hand though, i did KSM with guildies, a friend whos streams wow and PUG’s with mostly russians. I DPS’s as a ret paladin. and I managed it by April. I’m also severely sight impaired meaning 10% vision.
Perseverance and being a likable person who is honest on mistakes and learns from them quickly and performs good on the damage meters is what got me where i am now 2k score. Was ranked 7th DPS paladin on server for a while and have been parsing as top 3 for HC raid in server too. My Guild dont do Mythic so no parses there.

Boosts are not necessary having a social circle is, and its an MMO so thats to be expected…

As I said before I really don’t wanna keep this thread off topic, but since you mentioned it I will just say it once and for all, I never cared about what he is doing or whatever we played like once together in my whole life, and his statement is ironic to me because he is calling me immature and bully me while he is the one who is much much more older.

No matter your gender or age you shouldn’t bully people , it’s just disgusting. If you don’t like someone just block them and move on with your life don’t be pathetic, that’s what I did to him and I feel much better not ever seeing his messages on discord ever again.

Are you trying to convince us or yourself? Imho you just have no self control.

Make your own groups, play with guildies.

PuGs are not forced to need to carry you through content, if they set a requirement, then that is the requirement, deal with it, you know how you get around it ? You

  1. Get better.

2.Make your own group for the content.

I really hope you did not spend irl cash on boosting.

A very good summary there.
I am in the same boots, except for not being boosted yet, but seriously considered.
I play BC and some aspects of the game are designed around grouping up, but it’s not really happening. It’s partly a community issue as people expect tanks and healers being available for them but at the same time, they ignore all cries for help, refusing to do everything but the current content. That’s the core issue in retail as well I suppose.

The main issue in my opinion that it’s a feedback loop.
Fewer people lead to fewer groups, meaning more hassle, encouraging more boosts (even if by a friend), leading to even fewer people in the pool.
Same logic can go for item level and any other measure.
… And alliance presence on PvP servers …

WoW is gonna eat itself whole, from the inside out.

The person in question is not an adult though and it is not just her that has been the focus of his and his friends bullying 3 people have been really disgusting to her and it should not be allowed and now its being dragged onto the forums . None of the 3 people who have attacked her are adults or men in my view there actions are immature, end of rant sorry just had to get it out of my system .

You are an inspiration to other’s well done .

Community is going to destroy itself to many different walks of life and they expect it to work somehow. Yeah sounds amazing saying everyone is welcome here… just like they do in real life, but there are lots of issues that come along with that. And I have a feeling this way is here to stay all are welcome and figure it all out on your own.

Stop blame gaming other players mate. If you want to point a finger at some organisation , you can point it at the people who made and allowed to develop into this situation that you are posting about.

Seems they are very successful in dividing the player base these days.

Let me give you a real example of this patch . me.

I’m going away for 5 weeks to see my Family in France. I haven’t seen since December 2019 because of Covid and travel restrictions. I won’t be playing wow in those 5 weeks.

When i get back i will not be able to get into any form of raiding because i don’t have the " Ahead of the Curve ticket" Also Ilvls will have shot 210’s average to 230+ in that time. I will be so behind. Also mythic raid boes will be flooding the market.

So what do i when i get back from seeing my family ? Cry on forums no one wants to play with me , or take action buy some boes , buy a boost for the curve. Once i got curve i can get into raids. That’s why i call it the curve ticket.

Get a +14 started to get some loot there. Then after all that hey look people are inviting me. It only cost me gold.

Mimimi I want to have everything with no effort. You get what you play for. Deal with it.

You buy boosts because you don’t feeli like making own groups, searching for an appropriate community and progressing your char. Maybe you haven’t enough skill for that either.

BC isn’t real?
Anyway, the Reality of Missing Out.
I’m playing 40-60 hours a week now just to try and stay / become relevant.

There is a reason why back in 2004 WoW was synonymous with having no life.
A reason why I was told during a job interview, “I hope you aren’t one of those WoW players, we have one, and he is a problem”.

I’m happy that you choose the important thing and meet with your family. That’s what matters on the long run

Not really, or at most partially.
The main reason for RIOs creation (originally wowprogress) was that there were no way to tell who to invite above 15s, because back then, just like to this day, achievement only went to 15 timed, and to make matters worse, you only needed 1 timed 15 for the original KSM.

So wowprogress with score was imlemented to let m+ players see other m+ players experience, so you didn’t have to take people by their ilvl (and KSM) for high keys while having no clue if they had done close to that level before or stopped at 15.

I don’t have time to raid twice a week , i don’t have time on the weekend to push my keys all day and night. I want to play the game i want to play on alts.

AKA I don’t have time to play the damn game but I want to get the same rewards out of it as someone who spends hours on it. Your logic is soooo irrational and its the reason the game is at the state it is right now. Blizzard is catering to 30-40 yo nerds who still think they are in their early 20s. They suck their money and ruin the game by watering it down and make it soo freaking casual friendly.

  • Complains about “min-maxers” rushing content…
Maybe because the past 5 expacks made the game so simple and noob friendly that everyone who’s competent enough finds leveling content a chore. Open world mobs and quests deal no dmg and get 2 hit. Normal dungeons and dungeon bosses can be completed using only your left foot.
  • Complains about raid and dungeon requirments…
End game has been split in 10 different difficulties just so you can face roll and afk through it. Raiding used to be epic and required a commitement. LFR and normal raids have no reason of existance, just like normal dungeons. If you can’t progress a heroic raid during an 8 month patch you simple don’t deserve to raid. If you can’t raid you don’t get the best gear.

YOU DON’T HAVE TIME TO PLAY THE GAME YOU DON’T GET REWARDED, this is an RPG.
Unfortunatly though blizzard doesn’t mind as long as they can milk $$$ out of your wallet.
