I was levelling in Outlands an ogre called me a puny elf as I slayed them. This kind of stuck with me.
Somehow the first name I thought that sounded fitting for Gilnean was Cedric. So I used as a base and modifed it to make a more custom word that still sounded like a name.
On an RP realmā¦picked what sounded like an RP Draenei name.
end of storyā¦
I put the word āluminousā into a translator for all languages, and I chose the one that I thought sounded the coolest (Danish in this case).
I was watching Firefly at the time and I wanted to be Goram like the swear word they used in that show.
Unfortunately it was taken, so I just shortened it to Gram.
Gram means āI playā in my language Polski
But to this topic with why is my name Bornelock, I wanted to have āLockborneā but it is taken
I actually think Bornelock is betterā¦
I used to have a male Thalassian name, but ever since they enabled switching gender at Barbershop, I renamed my main to this because it fits both Male and Female. Lore - name changed after turning into a Void Elf to erase the past I had in Silvermoon.
I looked for names that feel fitting lore-wise to my character. I took a name as base and then modified it.
Agreed
it isnt bad either
From King Killer Cronicles by any chance? Will we ever see book 3? Iāve given up hope on it.
Nope. I just looked at a random japanese word and constructed the name out of it.
I aināt even sure what the word originally was anymore.
EDIT: I worded that differently than what I originally wanted to convey. I used names for my other characters though, just not for this one (who was previously a tauren called Qillaq).
ah, ok. The main character in King Killer is Kvoth. The v is silent though.
Weāve been wait for book 3 almost as long as for Winds of Winter in the Game of Thrones series (I read them in 2012 after season 2 of the show).
I am on a Roleplay realm, therefore a roleplay realm fitting name.
My character is named this way in honor to my mother, born in Cuba.
Nicked the name from the original Neverwinter Nights- Lord Nasher Alagondar back in 2010 (or thereabouts)
Edit - Neverwinter came out in early 2000s, i just got the name when i started playing WoW in 2010
Well you seeā¦ thereās this bronze dragon with a gnome visage in the game, you might have heard of her.
Was a nickname a certain forum user gave me that others picked up over time as well. I actually had several better ideas for a name written down, but unfortunately it was on Discord where the admin wiped the channel in question with no forewarning
The dragon in the Underdark in Baldurās Gate 2 that helps you infiltrate the drow city And also guards the way out of the wretched place.
Name of a mountain!
found it in a bankā¦wasnāt mine but i liked it so took it.
