Why u dont delete all class and just keep those 5 classes?

Afraid they basically recognised they can’t fix the problem atm. I expect big changes for the next major patch with season 3.
But, season 2 has sailed. Might as well take a break.

It’s not as easy as you make it sound.
If it’s high keys, no one will join your off meta group.
If you are dps, it will take a long time to make a group and atm you are likely to be waiting a long time for a healer.
Also, trolls and leavers that ruin your key.

Honestly it’s just as miserable of an experience.

Only solution is having a regular group. Easier said than done though. It’s not something done in 2 days.

People have a right to complain about the dreadful balance. Don’t make excuses for Blizzard. They were incompetent. They are the ones that have to fix the game.
Pugging should be possible.

The problem that ppl telling me to choose one of meta class and play the game.
No am paying monthly for this game to play any class that i want and enjoy the game

People are giving you a good amount of solutions, you are just cherrypicking the answers and ignoring the others just to validate your own whinning.

and if you want to play high end content you need to play what is best suited for that content stop crying

Yes, and:

The high end of the game well the meta slaves sit - and conveniently forget, they have done 25+ key before the current meta, so nothing justifies a new one, just in their head to must shave of a few seconds… - are not really where an avarage player is
Most of the players not even in the +10 bracket - and surprisingly (or actually not) tend to use their own brains and play whatever the hell they want, make groups, teams, join community, guild and so on and totally fine with the so-called sub-par classes and specs

Or maybe they could make M+ have a solo-queue auto-matchmaking option for maximum suffering while removing the issue of the meta picks.

While I am mostly joking, this would actually be a solution (I do not know if it would be a good one though)

Literally just take the op classes and tune them down a few % every week until they’re balanced.
Strange that other developers manage to do this.

They have nerfed those classes multiple times now though. They even nerfed utility.

In TWO specs out of all the classes and specs? Seems good.

People said the currently completed dungeons would be hardcapped as the only comp capable of clearing them got nerfed. which was true. Blizzard ended up nerfing the scaling from 21-35? by like 2% scaling per key level meaning now you can still hit the same +30’s even with the nerfed classes.

The sad part is that either the top end refuses to look for replacement classes OR the meta is still just straight up the best.

Either way I only do upto 20-22 keys anyway thats my skillcap so it is what it is.

It is not that simple as the specs in question are on top due to numerous factors, not just due to damage numbers.

It is a factor of utility, survivability, damage, and synergy with other classes. Dungeon design also determines how specs will perform. Blanket nerfing them only really creates a dependency for this synergy and will mean the specs will underperform without having specific external factors in place (PI for example), not to mention that nerfs due to a spec overperforming in dungeons directly affects raid viability as well.

Other developers solve this in a variety of ways, usually at the cost of class depth. Final Fantasy 14 for example achieves this by avoiding adding things that makes it harder to balance classes within specific parameters. There is no loot with unique effects there, as that adds an extra layer of complexity they rather not deal with.

Defile visual can’t be fixed almost a year (hiding all aoe). What do you expect in balance?

Because M+ is not the be-all and end-all of this game, far from it.
If you weren’t so focused on rushing through the same dungeons over and over you might realise that there are a lot of players dong a lot of other things.

meta will always be an issue unless they make big changes. i know some players and some devs think constant balance updates make things more exciting but it doesn’t. the class you play for a season and have fun gets destroyed in the next season so you etiher have to respec or play with a new toon hence you don’t get to play what you want if you want to get quick invites, also meta doesn’t only effect high keys it’s a general issue. the level of fun changes a lot when you play with a meta class, the gameplay feels way better.

for example let’s say i want to play a druid tank , i grind the gear play and enjoy, in 2 months it’ll be on the floor again and i have to gear up another character if i want to play tank. where’s the fun in that ?
