Why was the cleave stat removed?

I liked Multistrike (over crit) as you saw an extra spell effect flying offer, so you’d get two lava bursts firing off in quick succession. Whereas Crit you only really notice them if you read the logs.
But we Shaman had this (maybe as a Talent) in MOP so giving it to everyone stole our thunder and then its removal was taken from us too.

I don’t remember the Cleave stat.

No. I can activate them all at the same time.

We’ll just leave it at that then.

If you can, then that’s quite rare in wow just now. It is really a turn based slow(ish) combat system. The GCD slows things down and macros are nowhere near as useful as they used to be. I have very few. I sometimes use one to activate a trinket when I pop some other cooldown.
On my DK I often stand there waiting for a rune or cd before I can click something else.
On this shaman I nearly alway have something to cast though.

It’s not like it was in classic though, standing there auto attacking was not fun. I can see why they’ve changed it somewhat.

So it’s weird we’re slower than we used to be as GCD slowed us and made most macros impossible but we’re a lot faster than classic was.
I assume the height of our hastiness was MOP? I remember having lightning bolt while running then too and chain lightning was insta cast so you could spam that. I had a macro that popped some talent (Ancestral Guidance maybe), trinket, fire elemental, heroism and Ascendance. Then burn stuff for a minute or two. Was fun. Shame we lost that.

Just an answer for the OP:

Because cleave is a reference to cleavage, which is offensive.

You’re welcome.

Thats why warriors have still the cleave ability.
