people write on forums because they know blizzard can fix issues.
They like the game and they want issues to be fixed. ( or other inquires )
You coming here and complaining about the freedom of speech or right to speak ( about an issue or discontent ) is just a joke. Go troll somewhere else. noone cares about u.
Because more often than not the whining comes from the desire to keep playing and enjoying the game, but the devs are making decisions that make that impossible for a lot of people. Whining on the forum is the best a regular player can do to express their dissatisfaction with the game they’ve been enjoying for a long time with any chance of it being seen.
It’s like having someone really close to you struggle with mental illness or drug addiction. You wouldn’t just leave them because they changed, because you know what they can be like. You’d at least try and do your best to help them, even though you don’t exactly know how.
The “it’s just a game” is an incredibly stupid argument. It becomes much more than “just a game” when you’ve been playing and enjoying it for the better part of two decades and in many cases literally grew up with the game. It’s a hobby that became a huge part of many people’s lives, and a lot of them spent playing and progressing a single character that they formed an emotional connection to. You wouldn’t tell a hobbyist writer “it’s just ink on paper” or a car enthusiast “it’s just metal on wheels”.
In fairness blizzard say to share your concerns or suggestions on forums. So thats what people do.
Its when people dont give meaningful suggestions and just talk ill of the devs etc.
But to get changes implemented, one of the places to come is forums, and you can see what other players think, rather than just submitting suggestions in game.
What can I say…my character is auto attacking a rare right now which I will definitely kill me plenty of time. Being alt tabbed inevitably gets me to the forums at times.
On a more serious note, I find no issue with players complaining by bringing up some valid arguments. Its the way we can move forward. In reality, I suspect that unhappy players just leave without even visiting the forums is already happening. Just because some feel the need to write a goodbye thread, there is nothing to worry about some people venting some steam here.
Its also worth imagining the problem if the opposite happens - people leaving without saying a word.
Telling people, who are most likely in their 30’s or 40’s at this point, to act like it instead of wasting their money on something they don’t like just to be able to whine about it on the forums is not really whining.
I guess some people are tired of WoW haters being present on the WoW forums and 9 out of 10 topics are about how much they hate the game and the company, while they still throw their money at them. It’s kinda pathetic to be fair.
Don’t like the game? Just quit!
Don’t like your job? Just quit!
Don’t like your government? Just move to a different country!
Have a fight with a loved one? Just do the normal thing and leave them behind!
Don’t voice your opinion in the hopes of change and improvement. Just quit!
If u dont like what u see then stop reading forum lol
Thing is that many ppl like the game overall and feel invested in it over the years, its not whining but opinion about state of game
“I don’t like this feature because of this here is how I think it will be better”, or “I don’t like this change because it will make the game worse and here’s how”.
