It is what it is - it will never be a one size fits all environment.
To some M+ and Mythic Raiding is their end-game - they live in the content and do little else.
To others they play the AH for gold.
It’s a very feature rich game when you get out and explore the content - there is generally always something that will offer a challenge and divert your mind from the everyday worries of work, finances, children etc.
So I think it would be unfair to say the game isn’t fun - but I think it is obvious that there are aspects of the game that frustrate folk who only want to dip into a small part of the current content.
I have spent the last few hours collecting the Treasure Achievements in Zandalar - who knows - I may need them for Pathfinder Part 2 - it’s immersive - gets you to know the geography better - and it’s a break from WQ’s.
If you can’t find something in the game that you enjoy I’d say spend time doing something else you do enjoy
Does a lvl110 even manage to take the whole quillboar farm at once without cd ? If my 390 gear ,which anyone can get easely, can survive then how about a 415 ? Or next season ?
Once again i’d like some comparison with older exp since i didn’t play them. Was the open world content overpowered by casualy geared caracters 6 months after launch ?
Good points, but I’m afraid this forum is only hosting a bubble of people that still persist with the game in current state, or maybe people like me, with a morbid curiosity to see if they will be rezzing this game anytime soon.
id say that was a little judgemental - even if unintended.
It would also be a truism that around 60% of the people who use the forum don’t actually pay a current sub.
That aside - as I said in my comment - if you don’t enjoy it don’t play - if you do then go for it.
I don’t understand the folk who post about how bad the game is in their view - it is what it is - go do something you find enjoyable if you don’t like it - I know no other game where the dissatisfied complain so much on a forum
Someone that understands. The wow mmo experience is truly not there anymore. Let’s hope Blizzard comes around.
Thats BS. If you played a great game for a long time and they make it bad. You have to say something. I want to play wow, its not fun ATM. It needs to change.
This is true. But what do we have for old school players that wants a RPG / MMO? We get casual lets try and cater for the Fortnite kids crap.
This is not true. Garrison was a great idee, implemented wrong. It made the world empty, because it was you and the Garrison. Imagine a garrison for Guilds? We know it will work, look at class halls, an idee that Blizzard abandoned after one expansion.
Good valid points. You get it
Yes we do scale. But if I have 400 ilvl something that gives me 300 gear should be trivial. I know we do get stronger. It just FEELS like we are not. If you played wow for a long time or even other MMO’s you’ll understand this.
scaling.
im 404 and pull like a moron and sith lord everything.
gear.
yes gear is easy to get, at a point if you don’t have the skill you are hitting a wall in the most brutal way.
alot of people should not have acces to an easy gearing system like that, because it remove their learning curve and make them not wanting to improve.
yeah the learning curve is f up because of that.
the best exemple about gear and skill is my guild im in atm.
my guild is currenly 4/9 hm the group is about 400ilvl and alot of my guildmate are casual has f…
my guild leader won’t put anyone aside because she don’t want drama, but at the same time the group is struggling past opulence because alot of them are unskilled(don’t worry they aleardy know i said that numorous time on discord) and we are picking pug for countering that.
i often heard my gm say yeah you know we need get better ilvl and 90% of the time i say to her gear help yes but doing the same mistake over and over again don’t help at all. yes the gear help but a underskilled player with the best gear still a underskilled play.
While you can do that with some trash, the CC added to more world trash such as the stuns the pirates do in the south of voldun still make the painful. They won’t kill you using defensives and high AOE, but painful none the less. At my ilev they should feel like swatting flies at this stage.
Not on shadow I shouldn’t. I find you can pull thirty or forty mobs quite easily. However some of the CC they gave world mobs is there to deliberately slow you down, just like dazzed, and no flying, artificial time-gating.
I don’t know how you do it, I see other people all the time.
Guild halls may be nice, but a reason to join a guild is mostly raiding/m+ with people you get to know and play with again. There are really not many playerd that are not in some guild.
When you get good gear WQ become easier.
* Players that play a lot should be rewarded. At the moment I can log in and be Mythic raid ready within a day or 2. This is not fair towards players playing non stop.
Gear is to easy to get. There are to many LFR quality players doing heroic raids and failing. High end content is becoming more accessible, but it gets frustrating playing with players that have no clue how to do the content. There needs to be a learning curve. iLvl requirement helps with this, but gear is just to easy to get.
Those are connected. Yes, players get loads of gear now, and most of it goes to the scrapper or gets disenchanted. Now you can be happy when you get a titanforged item, not a normal one.
Sure but there are so many levels it’s pretty much impossible to get something every level.
Maybe in mdi and top of the rankings, but really when I do +10-15 keys I get to play with many more classes, not only meta ones.
