They took away spit and removed gender icons in wotlk i’m more concerned what they are going to remove further or what do they find “offensive”

That one I do consider as bad change. Along with removal of relic and ranged/thrown slot for each respective class. That however happened later, not in Cataclysm.
In Cataclysm I had more concern about quiver being displayed when using bow rather than whether I have to stockpile on ammo or not. I’m not that much of hardcore role-player to feel offended by removal of ammo for hunter class.
I do recall that I felt like WotLK hunter was better at first when I was trying out the class changes in CATA, however I certainly wasn’t like about to delete the character just because I didn’t like the focus as resource. I just accepted it eventually because it makes more sense than mana for that class.
Don’t forget fruit paintings … and that lady in STW.

In LK classic they removed RDF cause people like you were crying that it ruined the social aspect of the game. What social aspect? Wake up, it’s 2022 not 2008. Why have millions quit classic already?
Cata started a huge revolution and WoD improved it.

The dumbing down??? All content nowadays is 10x more complex than WotLK content. Can’t wait to raid Black Temple! Auto attack, auto attack, auto attack, ABILITY, auto attack, auto attack.
Also, wdym inferior questing experience, leveling for 2 years 1-80 is NOT meaningful when there is no content, just walking around for hours doing the same quest but this time you have to collect apples instead of stones

You’re copy bugged or something? How can you even level at all if there’s ‘no content’? Did you find some magic method of gaining XP by jumping up and down?

No. Too many changes and mega-servers and boosts and … ruined what could have been fabulous.

I dont think so. I think even Wotlk is already done. People realised OH WIAT this is not how i remembered this. And are seeing it for the shait that it is. Maybe it was better ins it time but now its total garbage.

I dare to disagree. Wrath is still good. The only thing that’s wrong is that Blizz made it into easy mode by building on 3.3.5 and handing out gifts for participating. Wrath is not to blame, Blizz (and we) are.
As a player who played hardcore pve back in the OG expansions i would love if they made cata and MoP classic and then stopped since both of those expansions Got really good raids (except DS) but from wod and forward it all turned into a shítshow i dont want to see again.
Cata and MOP can GDIAF seriously. Everythin that came after wrath was da poop. Like other guy sez if u lot want to play Cata u can just use Chromie Time in retail. Same game same world mostly same mechanics.

And this is where you are utterly wrong.
Last time I tried to play Retail holy paladin the same way I did on Cata, I found it impossible due to stats, talents and spell effectivity changes.
Word of Glory was just absurdly weak healing spell, and it was not efficient to build up Holy Power with Crusader Strike anymore.
Not even possible actually, because I had to spam Holy Light like crazy for the entire duration of the fight in order to keep the tank alive.
Meh details. So ur char does a bit less or more damage or whatever, at least u can adapt to that. U can’t adapt to entire content being removed completely.
If you don’t like the Cata changes to Azeroth, you have the choice to stay on Classic Era realms, why you have such strong need to express your plea on Blizzard to take away the option to play Cata again from players who would actually like to do so?
Possible Cata update is still years in the future and chances are that there will be option to stay on WotLK Era realms just like it was with update to BC Classic.
You mean maybe like a year, they rushed through TBC just to have better numbers at the end of year, and they already sent out survey about cata …
Also option to stay on wotlk era ? same like we have TBC era ?

Yeh but I don’t have choice to play expansions do I? Not much of an option lol.
U can still play ur Cata if they made it separate realms with char transfer, same as from classic to TBC.
The way I understood this is that BC Classic was not that much popular compared to Vanilla or WotLK, also from what I noticed when returning to the game for WotLK, numbers of active players severely dropped months before WotLK update rendering some realm completely abandoned. BC Era realm were never on demand I guess.
That is certainly not the case with WotLK.
