World of Boostcraft

But why shall everybody who finds the endless mass-spam annoying, go to lengths to be free of it?
“Get an addon” - “Close trade chat” how about them spammers go somewhere else, or get their own channel, or download an addon to sell their stuff, or make a discord community?

Because thats how the world works.

It’s no risk for the spammer and to actually stamp it out properly the effort Blizz needs to take is completely disproportionate.

And also, if you want to sell stuff, post it on the AH. Dunno why your generic trade item need trade spamming to sell it?

Report them and silence them. Works wonders.

I report anyone not from my realm - those L1s can stay muted and ignored.

There is a difference between disliking a certain part of the game and disliking the game.

A lot of people hate the darksouls swamp areas, but they do love darksouls a lot for example.

I love Wow especially M+, but I hate the current arms warrior design, I hate boosting and I hate the gigantic amount of bugs you can find in the game.

What, you NEVER played other MMOs?

There’s always sellers, everywhere.

There’s actually a “The Noob Comic” from years ago that makes fun of this about every-single-mmo and their sellers.

You have two choices to deal with this:

  1. Dedicated Police that bans them

  2. Make what they’re selling worthless gradually

WoW has chosen the second.

Just get BadBoy and you never have to deal with it ever again!

Nah, they chose to see the opportunity in selling tokens so people can buy the boost :stuck_out_tongue:

Did u just discover hot water…

You can easily block them or ignore them. I rarely pay attention to trade chat so it really does not bother me. It is not like anyone is talking in WOW in any of the channels anyways.

Boosting I really hate. I don’t let it affect me but still I wish game should be without booster and gold sellers.

The most tilting thing about these boosts is that it’s usually just some chump who advertises it while pugging a group in LFG.

If it was a guild or something it’d be a bit better but literally just paying to join a pug.

Well if you dont even bother to do anything about it, then just go…

GL!

well. Blizzard gets their fare share of profit from it, thanks to the existence of tokens in auction house. The ones being boosted, get gears and achievements for their real life money and it makes them happy. and Boosters do it for the sake of their economy, which finances things, from their own requirements, to even things such as world first raid runs that method, etc. do.

So while it’s generally a terrible thing to have a pay to win function in a game, It has become a part of its economy and at this point, unavoidable.

So i don’t think anything can be done about it either.

And return to the era of every message in trade being a Chinese gold selling site? I’d much rather have the boosters tbh

Come on, no one buys those anyway besides a few lowlifes. And if they want to, why shouldnt they.

Just type /leave chat 2

And then … MAGIC!!!

The trade chat is not visible and you get to enjoy peace of mind in your Glorious Pyramid!

A guy like you doesnt need boosts anyway right? No problem if they are not visible

Selling boosts for gold is against the ToS. It’s the same people who sell gold.

Nah it’s not. Selling boost for gold is totally legit.

May be blizzard have to charge them (in ingame gold) for using public channels for their business purposes

Not to sound controversial or anything, but it doesn’t affect me, so I don’t care. Someone gets boosted in PvP, then gets smashed when they take back over the account because they have no idea how to play. Someone boosts in PvE, it probably helps me because I’m getting someone in my team that can zip through the dungeon.
They will usually stick to trade chat when selling gold, and I have that on a separate tab so I can ignore it. If they don’t, then just /ignore them. It really does not matter.
