Deep undercutting is good to prevent most of people from undercutting you. So yeah, more sales, more total profit.
Yeah some guys buying mines or herb for a cheap prize and reselling them on the market. I’ve noticed one guy approx. 4 months ago he is using this method but he couldn’t selling anything for months because he is putting them on the market extremely high price lol
You don’t really know how much he actually sold. Buy something for 100k, relist for 300k, sell half for 150k, you can pretty much destroy the rest and still have 50k profit already.
He still relisting the same mats for months.
We can’t sell things in AH anymore if you are on a high population server. Especially not crafted legendary base items. You’re forced to buy WoW-tokens. Will Blizzard fix it? Probably not. They probably earn a crap ton because of all the micro-transactions.
If someone wanna enter market and made milions i recomend cheap items with high sell rate in 4-5h on buying and posting and farming is realy not that hard to make WOW TOKEN in 1 day
This website track everything that is sold on auction house price sell rate history on which day of week alot of people buy
theunderminejournal. com
Its just that instant satisfaction BS as everywhere else in the world…
There’s hardley ever a reason in WoW when you actually need to sell fast unless its about a game token that you need for extending soon-to-expire playtime. But if you think ahead this never happens. Other than that you have no bills or rent like in real life so I just cant get my head around how ppl still wanna sell fast. Why? To rob yourself?
The delusional really think that if they pirce their stuff ‘right’, everyone else on the server will wait for him/her to sell it and dont post? Now how ridiculous is that? If its a current expansion crafting item, tens or even hundreds (depending on server population) of other sellers will be at it as well. So they cancel and undercut, cancel and undercut… to infinity. Sometimes messing up my selling opportunities but most of the time providing me cheap mats.
And I’m happily sitting on my big pile of gold. Thats wow AH reality: dumb ppl do dumb things and are too dumb to see it.
I dont think they are too many, just a very noticable minority.
I’ll take a AH bot undercut over a Mike Tyson uppercut everyday of the week, thank you.
I knows people that honestly wouldn’t even want to challenge Mike in the octagon (MMA)
I’m with them on that one
There could be lots of reasons? Perhaps they’ve got a raid coming up but realized they don’t have money for consumables. Or there’s something they want on the auction house / black market, but they don’t quite have enough etc.
If you post something really low, someone will probably buy it up fast in order to resell it at a higher price - it’s a valid strategy.
Undercutting by 1s should lead to a 30 day ban, f those guys.
Im one of these people who always undercut by a lot. The rare times I am selling stuff on the AH I need the gold quick. Be it for repairs, enchants or crafting the occasional legendary.
I don’t care about having lots of gold. Don’t think I ever had much more than 100k over all my chars. So losing out on potential profits really doesn’t bother me. People just have different priorities.
There’s a reason why u have never had over 100k
I’ve made 1.5m gold just in 40 days without TSM but it was not easy process for sure.
Maybe he does not want to make over 100k. As simple as that. You don’t really NEED any more gold than for repairs, basic mount, some flightmaster fees. One can play the game happily and never even reach 10k gold.
i personally like to set the price a bit higher… then forget im selling anything then one day i log in to a nice surprise when i have mail.
undercutting is just a by product in a world of people who are impatient and want everything right now.
something blizzard actively promotes.
i think more people should play perhaps once or twice a week … see how their attitudes quickly change to certain things in this game.
Sometimes people set thier prices so high, that it will most likely never sell. So thats why I sometimes undercut by alot.
i admit its the price u pay with the overcutting method… but then you just reset the price and try again… whats the rush at the end of the day…
i made millions on ff14 by overcutting people and taking my time with it.
also means you don’t have to farm so often.
also over a period of time u kind of get a idea of the price range to overcut by in order for things to sell by a certain day.
Because I want to sell that damned 190ilvl shadowghast ring that I accidentally bought, even at a loss
I’ve never had this problem but I only sell ores and other stuff I randomly gather while doing world content. I sell at the price the gsme automatically sets it unless there’s a goblin listing one piece for 1 % of the actual price in which case I buy that item and list at the normal price. I then come back later to collect my money without problems.
Maybe it’s different with items that are not sold in as large quantities.
It’s a game. I need gold for something then I sell mats cheap as chips just to get the gold I need asap. Not 1 hour , 12 hour or even a day later. I don’t give a flying **** about a so called set price in a game. I undercut to get my gold and then I think no more about it.
