If getting killed by WF procs is any metric to go by then both Paladin and Shaman need to be deleted from the game and weâll only allow Rogues and Warriors in PvP as melee specs.
How are you supposed to secure a kill as either of these classes in a serious fight otherwise?
any good PvP player only lets you connect your attacks for very short timeframes to begin with, so you better make use of those windows and burst as much as possible, otherwise classes like that would be unuseable

So in your mind, he went out, got reels where he does a lot of dmg, which every single class has (reels like this), and this means Ret is op and Blizzard is going to, or should nerf ? xD
Most of the people he was â1 tappingâ were dying after he hit them for under 2k hp. You have about 6k in proper gear, 8-9k in BGs and over 10k with a flask. Reduce all this by what ? 40% in a Battleground ? Where is this insane dmg you speak of ?
Im not trolling, im really wondering, as Alliance I sadly dont face Rets, but I dont see this monster push that some of you are talking about. They have good dmg and good burst at times. But broken ? nerf worthy ? Im not seeing it.
As a Boomkin im doing A LOT more than he is. 5-6k Starfire crits happen all the time even in BGs. And yes, Boomies are busted, im not arguing this part, butâŚRet? : /

Iâve been done 100%-0% in a HoJ with 8k hp. I guess the video does indeed show nothing new to anyone that is actually playing the game regularly facing decent ret paladins with great gear.
What I donât get is why the deflection and denial from some people, you think the devs arenât aware of this? That they need a youtube video to know what a ret is capable of?
This is allowed to exist.
This is SoD, not the tournament realms. Not all classes can do similar stuff as shown in these clips but still some can.
Itâs clear balance isnât a top priority or such damage on a class with so many tools wouldnât be allowed to exist.
At the end of the day this vid is a nice collection of clips from a geared character(at the time I guess) blowing people up.

People coming over saying Ret is doing 100-0 during a HoJ on a bear. Sure, if the Bear is out of cds and the other 14 people are all hitting the Bear then yes, in the 6sec HoJ there is a chance the bear will die xD

hunter and boomie are OP too, but blizzard already indirectly confirmed they are looking to nerf those two classes.

ret paladin was not mentioned when they talked about upcoming nerfs, which is why i am hammering that nail extra hard.
its not a matter of âignoringâ or âsleepingâ on the real OP specs in the game, its a matter of, well, they already announced that those classes are on the chopping block, so there is no need to harp on about emâ since they (the devs) are obviously already aware of the problem and are making changes in regards to those classes.
the fear is that they might be unaware of Ret paladinâs performance in pvp (which boggles my mind to say the least) and so there is extra need for attention being put towards that spec.
and bro, no, the people being clapped in the videos being posted everywhere are not strictly pve geared / fresh 60 / bad geared andies, some of them are literally bis geared with titan flask, food buff and fortitude elixir + full stam/pvp/zg enchants.
