yes i heard about it too, they are filing a lawsuit against the Turtle Wow private server
Experiencing the same right now.
Posted this in another thread, but posting it here because as per usual, it’s been well over an hour now and there has been ABSOLUTELY NOTHING from Blizzard even in terms of acknowledgement that something is majorly screwing up.
All of Saurfang EU and connected servers also affected. I’ve currently got one character stuck on a forever loop trying to get to Azj-Kahet, one flying in forever blue space between the tunnel from Dornogal to Ringing Deeps, one constantly stuck trying to adjust talents and now I’ve been disconnected. I guess Blizz got fed up with me limit testing 
Since I posted that part on another thread, I have tried repeatedly to log back in. It stays for a lot longer than usual on retrieving realm list, then logs in and just hangs forever on retrieving character list. I have also tried this on my two other accounts which have characters on different servers and the same thing happens on both.
Blizzard, I love you, I do. I have been with you through thick and thin for 18 years and I have given you a lot of time and money, but your customer service and lack of even basic communication when big sh*t hits the fan is quite frankly unacceptable.

Kor’gall broken as well. Cant get through the “retrieving character list”
Same here on Drak´Thul. Was just finishing a +10, lagged and crashed. Hopefully it´s resolved soon.
Same here man, I feel you. Had a wonderful m+ run going but no. The amount of technical issues the game’s had in recent times is insane. Blizzard is such a trash company dude
TBF they done that a while ago against that other private server.
Btw, tried Mist of pandaria, there the characters show atleast, but not working to log in.
Do you got Retail? checked status there? (dont have it installed)
I have the same problem on Golemagg (MoP Classic)
im on Argent Dawn and cant find my charecters. i have a theory that this might have someting to do with this:

- Fixed a bug that could cause player-characters to not receive the intended Renown and currencies when Boosted to level 80. Affected characters may need to log out and back into WoW to be granted missing items.
only renewed sub yesterday after being away for a few months playing single player games again looks like i walked into the same sth show of a booby trap its been for the last couple of years. blizzard going downward spiral like a turd being flushed: well polished but its still a turd
The amount of bugs, glitches and stability issues I’ve seen in this expansion have been nothing short of worrying. I’ve never known WoW to have this many problems in all my years playing. This isn’t acceptable for a paid service.

Yeah same problem here, haven’t be able to log in today. Game downloaded patch before I started, worked great last night.

I am on darkspear retail and i am having the same problem just sits on retrieving character list
Devs are playing the new Hollow Knight: Silksong. I am sure they will fix the server in few hours.

got into some chars on tarren mill eu druid outside naxxrams - tried to enter a raid kicks me out transfer aborted instance not found. hunter cant login world server down. this game is broken af
Goldshire must be so sad and empty right now on Argent Dawn… ;_;
its insane to me that devs are just letting this happen without the slightest communication toward the playerbase
