Worst patch of all time?

You’re not forced to do anything lol. The time commitment for getting your cloak, and upgrading it is like 5 mins pr day, and it takes an hour to do the necessary quests.

It was also challenging at ~430 with some gear, compared to 385ers. At one point I took massive damage and had to play bit careful. Caster-classes are really screwed in this fight alone.

I don’t know if that rule applies to every class though.

Their are ones that are more fun then their WoD alternatives.

Since WoTLK/cata expansions seem to make some classes really fun and others horrific and it just changes which ones are boring AF every expansion :stuck_out_tongue:

Aye I trying to do it with my Mage feels rough as hell.

Tell that to thousands (if not millions) of ppl who complained and unsubbed when 6.1 came out.

So far 8.3 is very, very new. But despite the bugged quests and the long intro, and every other flaws that there are atm. It’s still not even nearly as bad as WoD was.

The worst patch is the one you put on your bicycle tire innertube, it always starts to leak again, no matter how much glue you use.

Or my neighbours pumpkin patch last year, it was completely ruined because the pumpkins didnt get enough water.

On topic: i need more clarification about the ‘‘bad’’ patch thing i guess.

It’s worse. WoD I could play my alts, now I can’t unless I want to repeat the boring intro quest over and over.

It is because of bad class design.
But you’re playing a Demon Hunter so I assume class design isn’t really one of your priorities.

You can skip some of them like the scenarios (The worst part about this whole intro quest). Atleast there’s that, but yes it’s pretty alt unfriendly atm.

And that’s one of the main flaws of Bfa. But really not all classes are badly designed atm, some are pretty enjoyable.

I also play other classes, so don’t assume anything.

Not the worst but it’s pretty damn abysmal.

Sure, but to enjoy a Demon Hunter in the first place, you must have pretty low standards.
I know playing one bores me to death.

Doesn’t really matter though if there is nothing to do. Guess if you only compare pvp it could be better.

There are multiple reasons to enjoy a DH, but I think you’d hate all of the reasons. You’re not mad about Metamorphosis are you?

Could say the same about Warlock. Then again what’s boring to you =/= boring to other people.

there was this one patch about selfie camera and twitter … this was the worst one.

I can’t decide which patch was the worst: 6.1, 8.2 or 8.3.

Seriously, 8.2 and 8.3 are so bad I would punch person who is behind them.
I say it once more: I DONT WANT TO DO THESE BORING DAILIES AND WORLD QUESTS TO GET REWARDS FOR PVE OR PVP.

Forcing everyone into them is so dick move I don’t care about my wording here. It’s like forcing vegetarian into eating meat before eating veggie salad.

I just can’t believe how blind one has to be to not see that this is wrong. I bet my right hand I would come up with something two times better than this… “content”.

Here’s message for you Blizzard, write it down and put on the wall in every room in your HQ:
Raiders want to raid.
M+ players want to do M+.
PvP players want to do arenas/bg/worldPvP.
Casual players want casual content.
LET people decide WHAT they want to do, DON’T FORCE it on anyone.

Currently, this is how your game works:
PvP players have to do PvE in order to be most effective in PvP which makes them angry.
PvE players have to do PvP for essences (CaS, BotE) strong for raids/M+ which makes them angry.
Those groups also have to do boring and repetitive world quests/dailies for other essences, which is nothing more than chore - do it because yes.

I don’t know what Lead Game Designer can expect from feedback? “I forced them to do something they hate and they hate me back, wtf?”.

Seriously, hire Junior Lead Game Designer and his/her first idea will be better than anything you came up in past year.

Peace.

Ok so im really shocked about this 8.3 but not beacuse of the buggs but beacuse of what kind of grabage this patch is.
Lorewise its good ending story, we are facing one of the sceamiest old gods and horrific vision are awesome feature content.
Game developers, employes, workers what a hell are you doing, you are ruining good story with low budget content, comon seriously revamped zones with repetetive dailies, and horrific vision that last only 30mins a week all together. And you call that a content?
Today i did all dailies and visions, and i came back to boralus and im like wth am i gonna do now, maybe i should go back to mythics + …
Seriously you dissapointed me here alot, i play this game since alpha.
You are using game basic template since begining, is it so hard to use imagination, maybe hire some art wow fanboys and make nyalotha area filled with wqs, reputation, dailies like argus, yes argus was awesome.
Where is that now?
Comon guys you sitting on milions of dollars income from us and advertisment, but mostly us we are engine of your product, us people.
Why is it so easy to make us sad and why you do it? Do you enjoy it?

No ! Its actually really fun .

Alpaca :llama::llama::llama::llama::llama::llama:

After having played everything that was available in week#1 i actually think the patch is better than what i initially thought of it. Once you understand which activities are actually worth doing and which are a plain waste of time compared to the waiting for spawn you need to put in, the grind is absolutely tolerable.

Still, i think they could have made the patch a LOT better without putting in much more effort. Some things are - imho - just not done very well.

#1 Frontloading. Why “force” everybody through the 2h-Questline in week#1 when you have nothing to come back for storywise in the following weeks? Why not spread it out a little? I am not talking about timegating the “content”…just the story quests.

#2 Explanations of the actual gating mechanics. Most players who did not use external ressources were left completely in the dark - or should i say: void? - as to what actually matters in this patch. The long, long, LONG Questchain did a HORRIBLE job of actually explaining how important the Orgrimmar vision is, that you can only enter it a limited number of times, what you should go for when venturing deeper etc. All players who have this information received it from outside sources. That is not cool for a system where you cannot simply repeat the content to explore it yourself. Especially if that content is also TIMED. The withered scenario in Legion was a comparable piece of content (but superior, imho) and while you culd only enter it once per week, it was NOT TIMED. So you could explore a little yourself. That is not true this time. Would it have killed you to give us a one-time-tutorial-trip into the vision where Wrathion or some other NPC actually explaines what to do?

#3 Amount of new content. Since this is the patch that will be running the longest, you really should not have made 8.2 the biggest patch of the expansion…but then again, 8.2 ran dry months ago, too…BFA is simply not a very content-rich expansion, which is not caused by the content actually available, but simply a failure of setting systems - especially gearing - up in a way that motivates players to play that content.
BFA has more gearing systems than even Legion - which had 3 - and all of them are more complex, too, yet none of them offers any kind of long-time-motivation, sastisfaction or…yeah…good gameplay. The fundamental gearing systems of this expansion were just completely messed up.

All that said, i don’t think 8.3 is the worst patch ever. I agree with above posters that previous patches were much worse. But BFA is the first expansion without Tier-Sets (for PvE AND PvP), so the missing motivation to do anything feels worse. Blizzard really needs to think about the removal of Sets. Imho, it is the main reason why content in BFA feels so incredibly shallow and depressing.

From a story perspective 8.3 is definetly my favourite patch of BFA since it skips the faction-crap. That’s a HUGE plus. I know they still had to take a dump on Alliance by adding Vulpera, but that was to be expected. I like the lore behind 8.3. I actually think that what N’zoth is trying to do and the way we are fighting it makes sense - it just is not motivated that well, compared to say, Suramar, where i as a player felt MUCH more involved with the story than i ever did in BFA. I like the Old-Gold art-style, which makes it somehow even more unforgiveable that there is no Dungeon using this style in 8.3.

So, a mixed bag for me, personally. Not the worst patch ever but definetly the best Patch of the worst expansion.
