The first time I set foot in Elwynn Forest on that day of March and heard that dreamy music was sooo incredible! And then when I finally made it to Westfall I liked it so much more than I could imagine. Fighting those odd mechanical strawmen It was great!
Yesss amazing! And the gameplay was so immersive in comparison to other games at the time and even now. You literally felt like you were getting lost in a magical world
It my fav music in WoW makes me feel cosy.
Yes this is true and with an engine update like Unreal engine 5 players using potato PCs will see improved performance over what they are getting now through dynamic scaling and more optimized pipelines for multi-threaded processors. On the other side of the spectrum those with high end PC
s will be able to experience a ânext genâ version of the game with enhanced visuals with more in depth Ray tracing features.
After seeing the new trailer and the direction that they are taking with physics and flying there seems to be some hope in the short term for this game. In the long term Wow 2 will have to be made there is no question about it and it will have to run alongside the current cartoon style wow that we presently have, just as Classic runs alongside retail. Each version catering for different audiences but tied closely together.
With a company like Microsoft behind Blizzard a console version of Wow is probably highly likely which would bring in hopefully a lot of new players which would pave the way for a whole series of Next Gen versions of World of Warcraft games over the next 20 years.
Well, if youâre in the zone that was designed for- wait when did cata come out?
Yer 12 years ago.
Then itâs gonna look like it did 12 years ago. Go to a more modern area, see more modern models.
Unfortunately the old wow world is like 50/50 good to bad, since thereâs critters made of about 10 polygons walking next to a HD pig model.
But youâre not supposed to be there. Youâre supposed to start off at BFA and work your way up.
Stupid I know, but unless we get a cata level world overhaul I doubt you will get much change.
Also I kinda like wow graphics, they are dumb and cartoony, most the current updated models are more style than realism which helps future proof them. Look at TF2 for the perfect example. 2007, game still looks great because style.
Itâs why in 10 years, overwatch will still look good compared to the realistic stuff. MaybeâŠ
I think weâre kinda in a graphical slump, since good graphic attempts are currently in uncanny valley to me. But who knows where we will be in 10 years.
I absolutely agree. You can put as much bling bling into your zones as you want, it doesnât change the lifelessness of the world, static trees, clunky character models, outdated animations. You have to tolerate the graphics to kinda enjoy the game and focus on the gameplay.
Ppl talk about timeless artstyle and access to weaker gaming Setup, weil, thatâs no excuse anymore. You could enhance the world by so much while staying true to the artstyle but i guess, instead of firing employees youâd have to hire ones, invest in the game and that would mean less money for the top
Another Nonsensical Troll Thread Number zeeeeeeeeen in diguise.
Stop taking the bait dummys!
Says the guy who bumped a 2hr dead thread!
/golf clap
Turn off the potato and turn on the pc
OP - have you got the slightest idea how much processing power WoW would require if it had UE4 or 5 as the core engine?
I guess you donât, but it would relegate WoW to needing â1% level hardwareâ to just INSTALL it.
If you want cinematic realism, YTF are you even installing WoW smh
I severely dislike the graphics in almost all games made in unreal engine, especially MMOâs - most of them except for wow look the same to me - grainy and grey, with very missplaced bloom effects.
The style of WoW and Runescape (3) are my favourites in the industry
Idk man. I got a very high end pc and iâm satisfied with the graphics wow has. First of all i donât care if itâs not the best graphics around (i know itâs not compared to basically all other games these days) but iâd much rather have old graphics with 500 fps than new graphics with 60 fps. If they updated the engine, people with RTX 3080 ti would get 10 fps in crowded areas/raids and for that reason i think itâs fair if they keep the current graphics for another year or two
Nw looks neat too
Wow has good styling also wod and sl armours look good would like to see more of that style
from the graphic improvements that op asked for to top tier graphics and unreal engine 5⊠good job, internet arguing
Nobody asked for that, you can have tons of improvements without going into the direction of âtop tier graphicsâ while still staying in range of wowâs art style. i personally donât feel like my money is appreciated when i look at the dated world.
Try put 2 carrots is sli on your potato and get some boiling water cooling to make vegtable soup and give it another go!
U can also buy more onions or even try overclock the garlic !!!
If Blizzard did i full cataclysm revamp on all our old Azeroth zones and cities and armor and alike to Shadowlands level. Weâd be pretty up to date.
Enviorment upgrades like trees and grass that looks all 2d super mario 64 too up to date.
Iâd say WoWâs graphics would be pretty up to date
Did I say up to date enough times? âŠHere is an last up to date for the sake of up to dateness.
Iâve said the same thing so many times on here, although I think the old zones would lose some of their charm with a graphics update.
True⊠To many of the old school people it would. But i imagine they would care especially much about this too.
To that all i have to say is. Classic wow is there for everyones classic nostalgic needs.
They made a whole seperate game to satesfy this crowd outside of retail.
But if not the zones and old cities⊠At least update the old armor that looks as if its painted on to your characters body at least><
