Wowhead being integrated into the game soon?

Not to mention they have their own membership system, and advertising for those who use it for ‘free’. They aren’t going to give up their income.

There are games that has a search feature built into them (like RuneScape) where you can search for anything, which then automatically redirect you to a database-website.

The same could be done with WoW but built into the game, although the best option would be that Blizzard merges Wowhead’s and their own data. For example the real drop chance for items from Blizzard and the comments from Wowhead to help with quests etc.

wowhead guide are often wrong, also have you ever loked at wowhead without an add blocker it atrocious

It’s fairly unlikely that Microsoft would be OK with the game embedding a product owned by an effective competitior into the game unless it involved some very sizable cash payments for what would be in their eyes cross promotion.

True but if anything Microsoft would not be opposed to Blizzard embedding MS Edge client allowing you to access the web from in game much like the social media links they have. This way they not actively promoting wowhead but one of their own products and landing page. I for one am very happy to alt tab. Been doing this for years and it is second nature now.
