Updated the Platinum Disks of Swiftness trinket’s on-use effect to no longer be able to be dispelled, bringing it in parity with the other Platinum Disks trinkets.
Fixed a bug that could prevent combat pets from attacking when the player attacks.
Developers’ notes: This bug was commonly seen by Death Knights, who reported their Army of the Dead ghouls standing around when they were expected to be attacking the Death Knight’s target. As a result of this fix, all combat pets should now engage enemies as they did in original Wrath of the Lich King. Now, pets in Defensive mode will attack when you do, without requiring that you command them to attack, and pets that don’t come with a pet bar will default to Defensive mode.
Classes
Paladin
Fixed an issue causing Paladins’ Improved Concentration Aura to reduce the duration of friendly Death Knights’ Anti-Magic Shell.
Adjusted Summon Gargoyle so that it now summons at the Death Knight’s own location.
Developers’ notes: This is intended to prevent various misbehaviors by the Gargoyle, such as it becoming stuck in melee combat against enemies with very large hit boxes.
Fixed an issue causing vehicles in Ulduar to sometimes spin indefinitely.
Items and Rewards
The following items have received adjustments to their bonuses to be in line with other Ulduar item buffs: Comet’s Trail, Dark Matter, Meteorite Crystal, Sigil of the Vengeful Heart.
Fixed an issue with the Vindication talent’s effect stacking inappropriately with other similar effects.
Warlock
Fixed an issue with Curse of Weakness stacking inappropriately with other similar effects.
System
We are adding Fire Elemental Totem, Earth Elemental Totem, and Army of the Dead to the list of cooldowns that are reset when an encounter ends. We feel this is safe now that Naxxramas is not the primary raid.
Ranked Arena matches that include participants from both the Americas and Oceanic realms are now always served from the Pacific Time Zone, to minimize average latency.
Fixed an issue in instances where Heroism and Bloodlust were resetting the duration of the Exhaustion and Sated even if you did not benefit from Heroism or Bloodlust.
Hi, I’m not sure if this is the right place for this, but I would like to leave a suggestion with regards to the upcoming Ulduar nerfs. I think you can make both camps happy by making the nerfs optional. We already have a blueprint for a mechanic like this, which is the titan rune dungeons. You could implement a similar mechanic to the raiding environment, allowing those people who want it to nerf all encounters at the beginning of the instance, rather than forcing the nerfs on everybody. This way, the more hardcore players can keep enjoying regular hard modes, as well as logging and competing for good performances (as it will be easier for sites like Warcraftlogs to separate out the easy modes from the regular hard modes). Please consider this option, I think a solution like this would serve most people’s interests while leaving the core of Ulduar intact.
