WW Monk and Ret Paladins need a rework

Atleast u have cds to wait. Which is worth something.

I come at classes from a very different direction than some of you it seems. I don’t push keys, I don’t do high end raiding and I don’t PvP.
For me, how much damage a class does in comparison to the others is pretty far down on my list of priorities.

What I care about most is if a class is fun to play and sadly, Ret Paladin just feel incredible dull to me.

Well if there were a lower number of cd’s they’d just up the base damage on abilities and the rotation would end up less convoluted than it is currently.

It is. It used to be fun but now it just feels slow and annoying…

No, ret paladin is actually squishy. I mean, defensive wise, it’s pretty bad compared to dh and rogues and self healing in SL is lower than passive leech from warlock.

relative to almost all other damage dealers, yes, their survivability is poor. Even more so in PvP now that the list of classes that can remove your immunity bubble, includes warriors yet again. They have no real sustained healing and zero avoidance other than the panic buttons one of which won’t shield you from magic damage and the other being a full-life potion, which won’t get you out of the fire anyway. Combine that with the long CD on these options and flash light is a complete joke as well as Words of Glory being a trade in exchange of damage dealing.

Divine Steed’s duration is too short and has a long CD that prevents it from being a reliable avoidance option. I know you happen to play shaman which is quite poor on survivability, but that does not make what I’m saying here, an incorrect statement.

Retribution’s lack of survivability only becomes all the more apparent when playing PvP. Same goes for enhance really.

Flow of abilities is weakened by CP requirements and the design induces artificial downtime by punishing you for spending any one damage dealing ability twice in a row (mastery, hit combo talent). They’re not as bad of a case as Ret for sure, but a revision is always in the limelight of potential for a new expansion, so it only makes sense to address it, if no changes are due.

Watch the video I linked for a detailed description. It’s not limited to what I mentioned here.
