Yep Introduced in 2008 - 2023 = ±15 Years. Give or take a few months. But I am a liar though I did not play Wrath, I started playing in Cata so yea 13 years or so.
Honestly, I don’t think this approach helps.
You have 14 days, right?
If you increase the drop chance to, let’s say, 1% or even 3% for the first box on your account, most players will still not get it and WILL feel the urge to farm with the alts.
Let’s say you don’t get it the first day with your first character. You will still be better off farming with all your alts, otherwise you risk not getting the mount at all during the holiday.
Here are some numbers:
Assuming you do the boss once every day during the event…
If the drop chance is 1%, your chance to get it by the end is 13.13%
If the drop chance is 3%, your chance to get it by the end is 34.72%
If the drop chance is 5%, your chance to get it by the end is 51.23%
If you were the kind of people that was so desperate before to farm it with all the alts every day, these chances are definitely not safe enough for you, and you WILL keep farming…

This drop rate buff was predicated on the notion that farming this mount sucks, because it means farming on countless alts every single day of the event. This mount farm is still going to suck, but in the grand scheme of things only a few hundreds of a percent less… Useless change…

About halfway through this year’s first batch of 60x60 chars. Kill me.
The “buff” to 1 char has made it harder for people who farm this on 60 chars, as now people just log in and do it on 1 char, versus all their chars. So it essentially has had the opposite effect than helping the mount farmers…

It’s gruelling when it’s only available in such a short window but I hope the new improved drop chance once a day works in your favour.
According to the Lord of Reins discord, and other similar communities, it has had little to no impact so far, based on the last few hours’ data.

Lame update but i guess it’s how it is.
If this indeed is the case, they need to change the wording in the article where they said they recognize the tedium of farming this mount, which the update was aimed to alleviate. It is having the opposite effect as the average person has less incentive to farm on all characters in their arsenal, leaving the serious mount farmers with longer queues.

Edit: Also on the note of that article, why on earth choose to keep it vague. “Greatly increased”. Could you define “greatly” with tangible numbers?..
Shoud be greatly increased for all bags not just first.

Since this event is already yearly gated, there really is no point in not increasing it for all alts, versus 1 per day during the event…
yes its rare but why u making it such a huge deal? its a cosmetic mount…and u have 60 alts …wow emm ok good for you good luck lol

I did the instance 2 times and the rocket didn’t drop. Obviously still a terrible rate. This is an outrage and I’m unsubscribing.
