Stop using it if you got a warning imo. I was only using a key copy software to multi box but I deleted it when I saw it was bannable. I think it’s a fair change
I have Razor Synapse. But without it MB4 and MB5 are not working.
No warnings so far. I guess it is safe?
One warning later ban. What you didn’t understand ANY program ( mouse driver is a program) that help multiboxers is banable offence. Going around TOS is disturbing game and as well is banable offence.
As someone who uses Macros, the mouse wheel as a keybinding etc. Its all possible to do without using out of-game macros, a hint of advice. If its not being advertised on curseforge etc I wouldn’t install it unless its big company software for hardware like Razer products.
received a response from a blizzard like this is not for us, write to the forums, we do not know anything. The problem is that a warning was received about programs of repeated keystrokes, after the news there were no such programs, only the program x-mouse for macros was used. I would understand if there was a warning for using third-party programs or for using macros, but I received a warning for using input broadcasting programs, but such programs were neither launched nor installed on the computer. The warning system works badly
I think the point of this is… you are using a system that will allow you to quickly drain a herb or ore of it’s resources in a very short frame of time. If you’re doing any action quickly enough for them to detect and your multibox toons are all following each other and performing actions quickly, that is kind of abusive.
Many players seem to think this is fair play, but the whole reason the gather nodes behave the way they do is to allow many different players to enjoy gathering professions equally.
I don’t know if maybe you are doing other stuff than gather nodes, but the spirit of it is to stop the type of abuse that ruins the game for others.
People have to face facts, multiboxing is not playing the game as intended so if you’re doing that, you open yourself up to risk of getting into trouble.
I have not got warning on Logitech mouse profiling and macros, or whatever I have used on my multi-accounting.
But if Blizzard has sent you a warning, then trust me they were not joking and take a look of all the apps and processes you are running while playing the game.
Blizzard is not known for sending funny letters for no reason.
I carry on multi accounts if and when I play this game more seriously than afking in Icecrown. You do not need complex fancy programs if you just do dunegons and play in world.
I am not herbing so have 0 idea what is needed to ‘box’ there.
i do skinning and latherworking itis better goldmakeing then mine ore and pick herbs and less compitison
“X-Mouse is a great way to get more out of your mouse. With a little effort, you can set up individualized control profiles that let you do things with your mouse that you’d need a series of clicks and keystrokes to do the usual way.”
It has capability to multibroadcast if you read their PR texts at full and why would you use it for MBing if it is not for broadcasting ?
Good. Let’s say that I received a warning for a program that I almost didn’t understand, it replaced only pressing the alt + esc keys, if I switch between windows using a combination of these keys, then everything is according to the rules of blizzard, right?
They had a policy update regarding multi boxing, i suggest you stop before they take any serious actions
Blizzard don’t give you warnings for no reason so that should answer your question so the fact that you felt the need to make this post either shows your ignorance towards being told not to do something or its some thinly veiled hope that the community will rally behind you as to why on earth you’d get a warning for using a certain program to multibox with.
Considering Multiboxing will get you punished soon it baffles my mind why you even bothered to start multiboxing AFTER they made the post regarding multiboxers.
What did they mention in their first communication to you? Did they refer to specific processes running on your PC? I suspect they check for known software like your x-mouse?
Blizzards stance is if a program can be used to press multiple skills/spells that are on the global cooldown then it’s banned, even if you are not using it for that, you could be.
Just to echo here in different words - Blizzard does not check what you do, they check what processes run while game runs. They have done so very long time. And due policies changed, they are issuing warnings that also serve as giving information rather than punishement. Later on it is going to be bans.
