It’s sort of morbidly fascinating how much changed and how much I missed during my time away from the game. Only for many of the same grudges to persist.
At some point you just need to move on, whether the reasons for the grudges are real or merely perceived.

It’s very tiresome. Though at the same time those preaching all high and mighty “ugh grudges from x years ago” are themselves not clean from the taint either. I should know, as a dwarf it is my duty to maintain the book of grudges.
Both sides though have contributed to the ossification of the community, the as you put it:
I can almost 100% be certain that you are not the only person to think this.
All communities as you said have had bad actors.
Part of me wonders if this is part of some elaborate conspiracy between the two groups to strangulate the server and force people to move to places like Epsi.
They’re both one and the same at this point really, easy enough mistake to make!

Back on topic - as somebody who was bullied at middleschool I can understand why it’s not always easy to ‘just move on bro’ for some people. If I was to describe it as feeling I would say “the constant perception of distorted balance”, often with desire to “restore” it.
Moreover, these ‘just move on bro’ often come from either bullies themselves or those who avoided all stuff and just watched from the sides, so it’s a bit of a hypocrisy. In some way bullying others feels like a victory (that’s just how we humans work), so for them it’s of course easy to cause damage and then leave things as they are, without consequences.
Speaking of myself, I did move on in the end but it took multiple years for psychological wounds to heal. So don’t go too harsh on those you don’t know full situation of
