You think theyll do wod classic?

“Content is irrelevant”

Yeah, I guess you can feed some people crap and they’ll still eat it.

Content is needed for PvE players because PvE is inherently boring and gets old real quick.
PvP players can spam the sale 3 arena maps for years without getting bored because class design is the only vessel through which they experience and enjoy the game.

Can’t say I care one bit about WoD Classic. But I’d be interested to see what they’d do with a Remix mode.

I did fill recently a survey via mail which centered around WoW classic and other versions.

Can’t say anything further tho.

I eagerly look forward to Classic Shadowlands! Grinding out the anima was the best part…!

My personal guess is that the answer to this question is no!

When the classic team announced the winding down of Season of Discovery - they also said they are planning to add more new content to classic in the future - and a recent player survey heavily suggests that future content will likely be fairly extensive leading to the much asked for classic+.

I feel that delivering on that will require a lot more dev effort than the previous iterations have needed - and that will likely mean that the team will need to refocus on a single version of classic, and one of the casualties of that will be Wod and beyond Classic.

I hppe not.

Kept saying this since the release of tbc.

It ain’t classic, it’s just an insane outdated version of WoW.

I find it weird why people legit thought classic would end with wotlk, or skip WoD.

I have no clue why some people legit thought that. Would make zero sense to skip or stop at a certain expansion

I honestly don’t understand the changes they are making.

wod will come .will it come as it is or with changes like mop ? that remains to be seen

its classic + whatever expansion it is .you are confusing it with vanilla version which will remain vanilla.

I don’t think they should’ve taken Classic further than WotLK but since we’re way past that now and aboard this crazy train, I wouldn’t mind playing one of my favorite expansions again.

by then you will be a vulpera elder .

They will be it will be far shorter classic experience a year or so. Then move onto Legion which I suspect will be the big last hurrah for Classic realms imo

As for WoD I imagine it depends on player numbers and how much interest there is.

If they release all the cut content wod might be one of the best expansions.

It would be cool if they did, as they could even include some of the content that had planned for it but was cut, and make it a full Expansion experience.

If they add it back, make the lore, actually make sense

I find the pure gameplay, i.e. how my char is controlled, not good in old versions of wow, the newest is best at it, but stuff like story and atmosphere is really cool in older versions, that’s why I like remix, but I don’t feel like playing classic with old class mechanics

WoD: remix, Classic WoD or WoDiscoveries, - whatever the format
It would be an absolute banger and a hit, provided they fix everything people asked them to fix and finish all the content, they decided to cut:

  1. Finish garrison, provide it with racial options and allow it to be placed in any location.
  2. Finish Zangarmarsh, Ogre continent, Farahlon and chronal spire
  3. Shattrath raid
  4. Trophies from killing elites to display in garrison
  5. Class accessories
  6. Open gorgrond trains
    etc.

Based on released subs, the initial interest for WoD was freakish, and then died out as time went on, so if these changes are announced, there could potentially be another spike in subs.

Potentially, making all these changes and then merging WoD with the main game could be extremely benificial for retail just in terms of gameplay.

However, that being said, I dont think, that we have evidence, that blizzard is going for such an investment, do we? Does not it seem more likely at this point, that they will just skip WoD?
