Your class and why?

I do want shamans for all races, tbh.

I’m ambivalent towards swords, as I’m more of an Axe guy.

Tombstone totems when?!

Hell yeah, that’d be dope as heck - then you use the Revendreth Covenant Mail set to go with it.

Holy Priest, always loved it, always will, especially in PvP. :slightly_smiling_face:

I have 2 chars.

  1. Warrior. Since 2005. Female Orc.

I somehow was one of the few people that liked the female orc model back in classic. Everybody else thought it was the ugliest being they have ever seen.

  1. Shaman. SL. Female Maghar Orc.

Wanted to heal/cast in SL. It HAD to be a female orc, and I thought the heritage armor was rad. Also, 2 options to be a healer: Orc priest? Are we MAD? It had to be shaman…

Insanity. I’d get so bored with that few.

To add to your insanity, until SL S2 I had only 1.

Played warlock for a long time. Got to mop and they almost got tanking… And our dev got fired.

Got to legion and quite liked the drain-life ridiculously tanky affliction… Aaaand that was killed of in BFA.

Now i’m just chilling with Warrior and it’s nice restorative anger issues. With the added bonus of tanking whenever i want.

Mage. I always think I’m smarter than I actually am and I can’t relate myself to any melee or physical fighting class. Also being able to teleport is so handy

Nice thread idea!

I’m drawn to Paladins because I enjoy the concept that they strive to commit acts of altruism, mainly. I like in Vanilla when you get the quests from the Cathedral in Stormwind and you need to donate cloth to the orphanage. There’s a small moment in the novel Beyond the Dark Portal where Turalyon takes a walk around Stormwind and a pair of children bump into him and just by their reactions you can really get a picture of what Paladins are a symbol of, then he blesses them and I related that to how you buff people in-game. So now when I buff people, it feels more like I’m wishing them strength and fortune on their quests and that in that way my character is serving the Alliance.

In contrast, I love the ferocity of getting into combat, laying down Consecration, throwing Wake of Ashes out and then exploding with divine storm. It feels even more like Paladins are gentle, advocates of the light but if you mess with them they’ll come down upon you with a heavy, fiery vengeance and a great big hammer.

They have the best sets in the game in my opinion and I am motivated to collect them.

There’s also a piece of music that lasts about 5 seconds when you stand in an archway at Cathedral Square in Classic Era and also in the Paladin Order Hall from Legion and it’s so beautiful, it makes my heart swell a little.

Even though Paladins in era are kind of boring and just auto-attack, my love for the class’ fantasy gets me through. Also, it’s nice to play Holy and have it serve a reminder than Paladins are so much more than just Warriors with magic.

my answer is all of them . id rather have fun playing 13 alts ( and leveling some more ) on like 12-18 level then waste nerves with pushing very high keys or mythci raid

i just realised some time ago that im simply to old for really chalenging gaming and since them im much happier gamer :stuck_out_tongue:

Don’t worry, it suits you, since it’s a standard trait applied to elves in fantasy.

Well my og class was lock, always has been not sure if it will be. What drew me to it was mostly that I was just obsessed with summoning things as a kid, I first tried the game in Cata on my fathers computer and so that appealed to me.

Nowadays I really like mages honestly, I like the mobility, I like kiting, I like the theme somewhat too. I’m always really stuck between these two classes.

I just love undead for so many reasons. First of all is the aesthteical, I don’t know why but for some reason hunchback races just look much cooler to me from behind and since that’s how you view your character 90% of the game that matters a lot. Moreover I just really like their animation, this is not something I can explain rationally, they just look cool to me.

I also really like the lore, how forsaken came to be, their struggle to establish themseleves, fight for their survival and conquer the curse that has been brought upon them by the lich king. There’s much more to this but yeah I love them.

I honestly also like how my race and class combine.

Speaking of Warlocks, Undead are probably one of the first races that come to mind (While locks were brought to Azeroth by Orcs, Orcs have complex history and relationship with them, undead are kinda chill about it).

With mages I also like it a lot because the idea of being seasoned and powerful Kirin tor mage who was turned into undead just is very cool. Also consider the fact that elves taught humans magic. And despite the fact humans don’t have large lifespans they mastered arcane just as much as long-living elves. Now you have undead mage with human affinity for magic and basically unlimited lifespan and sky is the limit.

Also I love PvP and cannibalize is very fun there.

No, my very first race when I tried the game for the first time was blood elf, this warlock was made as a human (not sure what went into me) but the pull towards undead was just too strong so I switched.

Honestly idk about the most memorable moments per se but what comes to mind as more recent memorable moments is Nazjatar and Mechagon WPvP. Warmode has many flaws but this was fun. I guess the way this is significant to the post is that this was in BFA which is when I switched to undead so yeah, not very impressive though ik.

Feral druid.
Because I hate myself.

This might seem not very believable but I’ll tell anyway

There was a time during TBC , towards the end of the expansion where I found myself in Hellfire Peninsula (I previously thought it was Shadowmoon Valley). I was on a Night Elf rogue which I don’t think was max level. I was on a mountain side, looking up the sky contemplating the game and classes and fantasy of it all. I’ve always loved bat leathery wings, vampires and the like, so to me Illidan was incredibly cool.

I pondered if it was ever going to be possible to play a class that had these wings like Illidan and what that could be like to play

I might have even made a post about it, massive might but knowing what I was like as a teen, it wouldn’t surprise me

Can you imagine my excitement on the Demon Hunter reveal?

Weirdly enough though, I didn’t main Demon Hunter in Legion
Reason?
I hate playing what everyone else is playing, particularly if it is considered overpowered or cheesey. I used to really care about other people’s opinions and what other people were doing, and it has only been the last year or two really where I’ve gone the opposite way

I also have ADHD so sticking to anything for any length of time is incredibly challenging for me
In vanilla, I probably made more characters, levelled to level 10 and deleted them than most other players, and I don’t say that lightly. Get to Westfall, see a level 60 on a mount but different class? omg that guy is cool!.. delete char, change class x9000

So that is how I find myself finally ‘bonding’ and being able to finally associate myself with a main class

Green being my favourite colour is just a nice bonus

Other classes pre-Legion I spent any considerable time on were
Shaman (Legion)
Rogue (WoD)
Mage (catacylsm)

First class ever made was a …:drum: Night Elf Hunter
First max level was a Night Elf rogue
