Edit: Although age of sigmar is pretty cool in its own right so I’m told.
But the point trying to be made is I guess that the focus seems less on the core world we grew to love and experienced in warcraft 1-3 and early wow and more on what other places we can go to.
Through that, we lose the ability to tell the story of the aftermath of events and how it shapes the landscape and the people which only cataclysm really shook up a lot.
Nowadays if you want to actually know what the world looks like the only option you got is the books like exploring azeroth etc…
And its a damn shame because it feels like to much of the story is told away from the game.
-The zones don’t reflect the current timeline
-Important story events are only in the books
-Due to not getting the full picture, things seem to change quickly or without reason leading to players not relating to important characters or feeling like they act out of character
