my god, let us disable ads it’s annyoing af, feels like if i’d watch tv back in the day.

BUMPing for this handy (and more importantly Blizzard-Unapproved) workaround:

"Add this
127.0.0.1 cache-us . battle . net
127.0.0.1 cache-eu . battle . net
127.0.0.1 *.ttvnw . net ttvnw . net

into C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts (make sure you have removed spaces between dots)
It works for me."

Yes, please make these popups stop.

I’m not interested in your other games and the “What’s New” popup is just going to make me less interested as I feel like they’re crammed down my throat.

Log in to your Battle.net account on the official Battle.net Web site.
Go to the “Communication Preferences” or “Notification Settings” section of your account settings.
Look for options related to marketing or promotional notifications and disable them. This may prevent some pop-ups related to promotional content.

This seems to have worked for me.

Well… new updates this week… and
where is the solution?
I ill not play Call of Duty, I ll not play D4 (not a this price), I ll not play Overwatch…
Why Blizz insist and get us mad with that app pop up? Is that? we pay for this? It’s very simple offer a solution.

I’m not using app anymore except when need update WoW… but we can’t let this topic die!

I want to thank everyone in this thread who has contributed since March. The age of this thread alone says it all and you dont always need to respond to something to communicate a response. The silence makes it savagely clear.

The answer Blizzard wont give you or ANYONE else googling this same annoyance like I was is…

No!

I am quite tired of closing the pop ups for ads for games I will not play but know very well how to find any time I want to…it really sucks.

Still there, still no way to turn it off, still an unnecessary extra click for awful products and an annoyance for your already […] paying customers.
Only thing it does for me apart from the annoyance is to convince me not to buy more Blizz games. Let alone the dOnTyOUgUysHaVEphOnEs-era mobile garbage that’s being advertised.

that’s a very very bad answer, you really are very very bad at your job and need to be fired, you don’t address the real problem at all and when someone finds a real actual good way to deal with it you try to shut them down, you don’t care about the customers at all
